Awesome, students should be in those seats. It drove me nuts as a student when alumni acted like students were so entitled because we had the biggest student section in the country. So what, most of the seats were not good. You were in the bleachers most games. Also basketball tickets alone were over twice as much as what I paid for ALL sports season tickets at the University of Texas in grad school several years later.

Below is the list of players invited to the NBA Draft Combine. I'll save you the trouble of looking. No one from IU is on this list.

It will be a dry but cool weekend for our Hoosiers taking on Northwestern (17-24-1) (5-16) in Evanston. All 3 games televised on B1G+. There are no more mid-week games on the schedule. Here is my question. Moving the students down is part of the story. The other part not mentioned is where those 600 people who were there before are going. Are they getting the premium student seats in section L and M? Are they moving people up till 600 people go back on waiting list? Did 600 people drop season tickets and this is way to do a reassign to keep attendance steady? Absolutely thrilled for students as I was one when the seats were taken away and we had ‘stand up old people’ for a few yrs. Just a few unanswered questions here.

Selfishly don't love it because you could find some absolute steals in those sections day-of on SeatGeek, but it'll undoubtedly help the atmosphere.

A long time ago students used to be in the north bleachers -- I think back in the mid-2000's they moved them out. Now they're back in the north bleachers. Should help the atmosphere a bit. Nice move. Update: I heard a donation helped make this possible. Kinda crazy.

Blowing that knew out early that season really was horrible. I would have love to have seen him blow it up. You could say that if the injury hadn't have occurred, Crean would have stayed for at least another year. We could have made the tourney with a high seed. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda

Agree. That feels like the best case scenario. It's kinda easy to picture how this happened. To close on the big time signings like Sherrell, we probably went a little higher than we wanted, which kept eating away at the budget for the last few spots. But it was a better move to close on those guys than be sitting here without them and using their budget to sign a bunch of mid players. We'll see. Regardless, it's been a pretty exciting and solid portal. Still #1 on On3 and #3 on 24/7. Offseason champs!

I wonder what they have left. It wouldn’t surprise me if they have a small pile they could throw at the right guy as the market drags on and prices come down. And if that doesn’t happen they can just fill out the roster and roll mostly as-is. I get the same sense as you, though, that they’re unlikely to get in a bidding war for somebody at this point.
