Three Panthers named to the All-Region VI Tournament Team

Neosho County Athletics

Three Neosho County men's basketball players received post-season honors on the All-Region VI Division I Tournament team.

The final Panther that received post season honors and was awarded Region VI Tournament MVP is sophomore Freddie McSwain. Freddie averaged 13.3 points per game and 12 rebounds per game over the four Region tournament games. "Freddie has had a great season and it carried over into the Region VI tournament." Coach Jeremy Coombs said "Freddie and Rich are the best one two punch in the conference and with their ability to rebound above the rim they allow us to control the glass night in and night out." Freddie was also named 1st All-KJCCC and 1st team All-Region.

Freddie is a freak...like I have said - many of his juco games were available on streaming and anyone who watched would have been impressed...and he's still getting better...

he's a mix of Chris Roberts' athleticism and dunking ability plus Theron Wilson's nose for the ball and scoring ability, but he's built like Marcus Pollard and could play center if necessary.
Freddie knows a lot about some of the teams he has been recruited by and he's even tweeted about things he has read on their sites...so I know he sees that the BU fans love their team.
Most of his offers are very low mid-majors and I would be surprised if he takes visits to many of those...
The fact that he is coming to BU first says just maybe it's all he will need to make a commitment - hope so....he's be a huge fan favorite and he'd be adored by the crowds of 10,000 in Bradley's Carver Arena.

Hova correct; my initial link was apparently 2014-2015.

The following is a link to his 2015-2016 stat line.   14 ppg and 8.4 rbg.  started 28 of 31 games.  Also only committed 71 total fouls.

The 62 turnovers looks a little scary, but it looks like 16 were in 3 games. Troy would be proud.

Seriously, that Hudl video is some pretty breathtaking explosiveness. Looks a lot like Jordan Bell from Oregon. The jumper would need some serious retooling, but there aren't many coaching staffs better at that than ours.

If he's #21, which I assume he is, he is a scary dude. But don't know much about this one, but I trust Crean on this decision and let's hope it turns out to be a good one. Who are we competing with here?

Yikes. Yeah he'll be a hoosiers by the end of the week. Will probably be his best offer.
