weaverswonders6 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Intriguing match up...I can see us winning a close one, losing a close one, or getting blown out. Obviously I'm hoping for the first option, but won't be shocked by any of the 3
weaverswonders6 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I know we better keep hands up and close on shooters or they'll light us up from 3. Forget the layup line Minn had...
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 It says that you weren't the only person that picked Wisconsin to win last week.never said I was. My quote said mostly IU picks. I don't care about being right or wrong. Just that we win. I'd love to be confident in my favorite sports team again. That's all. coonhounds 1

I'd love to be confident in my favorite sports team again. That's all. It's been YEARS since I've been confident IU would win a game like tonight. Even in Zeller years I worried about Wisconsin,etc..
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I can tell it's really important to you to cultivate your "accurate harbinger of doom" moniker, so I'll just let you have it. I hope you keep finding the joy in our poor play though, it has to be at least as good for your heart health as honey-nut cheerios.this is ridiculous. I find zero joy in losing or underperforming. I have no agenda. Just want the best for our team and University. Been an odd year because our record doesn't match our product on the court. I hope for everyone's sake, including Crean, that we finish uncharacteristically strong. I would just love to have confidence that we don't sink like the Titanic. All I can rely on is past performance for confidence level and until we prove ourselves consistently, I won't be confident. Wishful and always hopeful but rarely confident except in the Hall. I "feel" like we beat anyone at home. coonhounds 1

Hoosiers219 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 It's lofty, but their frontline is badddddd. If TB goes 25 and 10, I'll be ecstatic. I have to think that we shake off our recent three point woes as well. However, I am concerned that even this will be insufficient to pull out a victory. Much like the recent X-Files offerings, I WANT TO BELIEVE! Go Hoosiers! weaverswonders6, johnsoniu and ALASKA HOOSIER 3

Please renew for another 6 episodes. I just don't have the confidence that we'll consistently feed the post. Even if TB is tearing it up,I see us moving away from him and jacking threes or Troy getting wild. Troy will be our x factor on a win vs loss imo HoosierAloha and Hoosiers219 2

HoosierAloha Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Most important factor on each end of the court Offense - take care of the ball Defense - defend the 3 Michigan can get blistering hot from outside and when that happens they can play with anyone in the country. Our offense is solid unless we are turning it over and then we can let anyone in the country hang around. We should pound it inside early and often which should free up our shooters and slashers. TB is a willing passer out of the post and when they start to clog the lane I hope our shooters let it fly with confidence. This is a huge opportunity to get back on track in the B1G. HOO HOO HOO.. WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Side note- I also think the transition to the 30 second shot clock has been awesome for CBB. Many teams finding shots in 17-18 seconds. Much more watchable down the stretch. weaverswonders6, BGleas and HoosierAloha 3

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I am no fan. To each his own.i can appreciate that. If the previous year's teams utilized actual offense for 35 seconds I may agree with you. What I found, was stall ball tactics with offense initiated with 15 seconds left on shot clock. This is not necessarily IU based either, all of CBB did this, well those that played stall ball. HoosierAloha 1
ALASKA HOOSIER Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Remember folks, we have some talented FROSH defensive guys. And ROJO can shut a guard down when he isn't battling an "illness". If we can keep out on the shooters, MICH is in trouble. HoosierAloha and Hoosiers219 2
biteoftheapple Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I think the shortened clock has caused a proliferation of dribble drive offense, much like IUs. Look at Oklahoma for another example. I watch about 15 mins of a month of the NBA for this very reason. I hate that college is moving in that direction. WayneFleekHoosier 1

If college drops to 24 I will start to worry. 30 seconds seems to be a happy medium from stall ball 35 seconds allows and the faster paced dribble drive of the NBA 24 seconds. I agree with you that I don't follow pro ball like in years past. I think it has to do with more than just the shot clock though. BGleas and weaverswonders6 2

But, I could return to the .45 sec. Clock and be happy. It brings coaching and strategy to game play.
