If you have never been to one you need to add it to your bucket list. Great music, dancing, drinking, competition of strength and endurance. Super fun!

They have an annual one in Estes Park, CO. Fun for the whole family!

We have a Scottish Fest yearly here- it's a lot of fun!  Scotch tastings, genealogy, Scottish food (my kids actually love haggis!), and the competitive games such as caber toss and stone put.

here is TEAM STRAPHANGER from last year's Alaska Scottish Highland Games. I'm the dude holding the peace sign. We took 2nd place in the Tug-o-war last year and 3rd the year prior. This year is the WORLD games up here in Alaska and we will probably get our asses handed to us. But, we will be drinking heavily so it won't matter. We have one dude that weighs 420lbs!

I recommend everyone attend a Scottish Highlands game when they come around. It is awesome for the family! And, you don't have to be of Celtic origin to attend either. It's all about the fun.
