You might not know they are walking next to you.  They don't wear capes, medals, or seek out praise.  These ordinary individuals (to our untrained eye) are our Military Veterans.  Men and Women who put their personal lives on hold so you and I can go about our day arguing about nothing of great importance.  These Men and Women are our True American Heroes. 

 

My family thanks you.  All of you.  Past, Present, and Future.

Great posts. As some of us go out today to enjoy a day off work so we can spend time with our families or do yard work--we should all stop and remember why we have this holiday.  Thank you to all the veterans who so selflessly gave us our freedoms and protect the freedoms that we take for granted.  God Bless Our Vets and God Bless The USA!

My school put on a great assembly today for Veteran's Day. We got to hear from a 90y/o WWII vet and his experiences both in the war and recently in the Chicago Honor Flight. Incredible stuff!
