Alford Bailey Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 This is the big question. To be honest though, I'm having a hard time seeing why the 2015-2016 can't have similar defensive success. Besides Vic, no one on the team was an exceptional defender, and they playing under the same system and same coach. I don't expect this team to be nearly as good defensively, it's just hard to determine why. 2015-2016 is more gifted physically pretty much across the board and should be the better defenders. It has to come down to the mental aspect of the game. Quote
HoosierTrav Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Gotta disagree on that one. They looked like they'd never even heard of a zone defense, they were comically unprepared. True story. I'd add to it but this pretty much sums it up. Quote
bleedhoosier Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I'd say yogi can turn it on just like Vic defensively. Maybe that can be yogis thing this year. He has more than proven himself offensively for scouts. There is nothing more he can do on that front. He could, however, start repeating that Stauskus performance. And the switch flips for Troy? This team could definitely do things.. Remy basically equals RoJo defensively (Rojo is better all around).. I get it though. I haven't gotten over the 2 sweet 16s either. What if Pritchard wasn't a shell of himself, verdell doesn't go down, Elston doesn't go down. Those guys could at least keep the starters legs fresh. Ugh.... Anguish... Quote

Ha! Looks like we had the same thought. Quote
