I have such a problem with the targeting rule called there. The receiver is falling down. When the defensive mans commits to the hit, the receiver is still trying to catch the ball. So we honestly expect the defensive man to calculate where their heads will meet in a split second and avoid it?

I don't think it is a "dumb rule."  These types of plays are literally killing guys.  Easy to go in without leading with your head to his head.  

 

Anyway, nice to see the Board back up.  I love me some Josh Howard.

Exactly. I agree with having the rule but situations like that extremely screws the defensive player. No way should that have been targeting.
