I agree in principle that a college coach can't always be expected to know if a player's family is in contacts with an agent or on the take somehow.

But.

At what point does this happen because of a general recruiting style, a lack of oversight, or some other overall approach? Arthur's grades, and the Selby/McLemore/Alexander situations are all something Self had no idea about and no control over? Okay, fine.
 
But shouldn't he? If he can't, and there's a trend like that, don't you eventually have to do something or else completely strip the illegality of those actions? If it isn't going to actually be against the rules, get rid of the damn rule. If it's allowed to happen and as long as Self isn't on camera changing the gradebook or writing the check, he's clean, then do you honestly expect to ever bust anyone for anything, or is that just a rule to make the people who don't want to give these kids a cut feel better?

The point is JS there average is high due to the refs calling fouls in there favor phantom fouls due the math on that come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you figure in Vic and someone else, maybe CWat, being in foul trouble?  I think Vic scored efficiently in that game but didn't play much due to foul trouble.  It's in the past but I still feel that team could have made a run after narrowly escaping VCU.

Your math isn't that good UK averaged 23.5 free throws that season per game.  In 40 games they attempted 938 they made 678 that percentage is .723 that would of put them making 17 if you go off averages
