I wanted to say this, but couldn't decide which thread to write it in so I thought I would make a new one. I believe that Robert Johnson will be a star 4 year player, assuming he puts in the work I think he could be one to remember. He's a do it all guy, getting assists rebounds and can score, if his 3pt shooting improves the way Yogis has, I think he could be a candidate for wooden player of the year as a senior.
Also I think Hoetzel could be good. If he gets bigger, and tougher and is able to score well in the paint as a senior, those two would be a great duo. When Devin and Max are both seniors I think those two could play very well in the front court assuming they work hard and put in the effort necessary to take us on a memorable run and leave IU remembered in a very positive way.

I agree with you about Robert. He is going to be a very good combo guard at IU. I wish he could have showed just a little more of that last night though. If so we would have had a W on the road.
Max started off the season strong and seems to be regressing. I think Max will be a solid backup and a great role player at IU.

In what way has max regressed? I think he starts and is a very good player his junior and senior seasons

When Yogi moves on, I see Johnson taking control. As far as Max goes, he needs some weight and some time, but I think he should round out nicely. Hopefully, we can keep him in a more natural position on the court next year. As I count it, I see 3 scholarships opening up....let's go get that Center we need.

Yogi is definitely a great college point guard and basketball player.  However, IU starts their offense from so many different positions.  I think more than replacing Yogi as a point guard we need to replace Yogi as a scorer an finisher.  I think RoJo, JBJ, and possibly Troy, depending on his summer, could be that guy.  I see a lot of players competing for positions and time going into next season.  That is a great thing.

Its not a knock on Max at all. He just really needs to get stronger to be the player we need him to be. He shot the ball with more confidence, defended, and rebounded better at the beginning of the season off the bench against lesser competition. Playing out of position right now he just struggles against stronger more athletic players. .

Like i said, i think Max will be a great role player for the four years at IU in time once he develops.

I think him not playing lately feeds into Crean's philosophy that he will not play someone who isn't ready to contribute because if their confidence takes a hit it can be a slippery slope. He wants to bring them along slowly. Otherwise, they can become a Pritchard case.. and don't take that wrong, I want to have Pritch's babies... errrr

I thought that about Johnson at first but the more I've see him play I think he is better suited where he is.Not to say he cant play point but he has a lot of work to do.But then again so did Yogi.

When and If Junior moves along Johnson will be a primary if not the #1 scoring threat.

I really think its imperative we bring in a point regardless preferably this year.

I had fire in my eyes before that last statement.

Hopefully LoVett, but Hyron Edwards would be great too. I'll take anyone we can get at this point that isn't Priller or April
