Born in '86. There have been players that have taken us further but I've never witnessed momentum shift as profoundly as it shifted when Cody committed to IU. I was only 6 years old during the '92 Final Four run (I've watched the UCLA game and the Duke game over and over again on youtube) and I remember the 2002 Final Four vividly. Even after all of that, I cannot remember a single player that meant as much to Indiana's success as Cody Zeller. I'd love to hear some of the opinions of some people truly blessed enough to have lived during IU's hayday. The guy that works across the office from me always tells me how sorry he is for me, that I never got to enjoy what he enjoyed. He's convinced I'm never going to see that in my lifetime, and he may be right. I'll never give up hope though. I do believe that this is the primary reason why i have little to no patience for CTC at the moment.

Born in '92. Was just thinking today how bummed I am I didn't get to see the glory years. At least I'll get to witness the next set someday soon...

I'm far from convinced you'll never get to see that, and I feel sorry for him if he truly believes it.

Cody came in at a time where he could elevate a general nobody into a highly ranked somebody, so the degree to which he helped a pedestrian team was enormous.

But, a guy like Bryant, could elevate a ranked somebody into a championship caliber group.

If no one of significance leaves this year and we get Bryant, I'd say the 2015-16 roster will be just as potent as the 2012-13 roster, but the individual flaws won't be as great.

This team is starting to build it's own character---could grow into something memorable and certainly going to challenge or break IU shooting records from 3 point range. I am really enjoying watching this team develop and improve.

There's just something special about this group---the way they get along and play together---don't count them out yet.
