Paterno to have 111 win's restored

Recommended Posts

Paper tiger as always.

NCAA undoes most of Penn State's penalties when public outrage has died down.  It was all for show.

No wonder Calipari sleeps well at night.  The NCAA is inept at punishing anything...well outside of phone calls and 30 year old license plates.

IU punished itself...

knee-jerk response to an overzealous fanbase...

it's almost like IU is the perfect picture of allergens that interfere with an immune system...

the attack against itself is far worse than any outside imposition...

Should have denied til the end. It was freakin texts and phone calls.

should have never hired Kelvin Sampson...

I mean really...his claim to fame was a final four defeat to none other than...Mike Davis...

you can't make this stuff up...

He also had the 1995 AP National Coach of the Year award and Big 8 COY, the 2002 NABC National Coach of the Year, and 1991 PAC-10 COY.

I completely agree that he never should've been hired though.  I would've been fine with him getting a second chance as long as that second chance didn't come at IU.

Make no mistake, I don't like Sampson and never did.  Didn't want him hired in the first place.  I'm just pointing out he had a little more to his name than just that Final 4 loss.

Bob Knight has also called out Calipari, something about leaving two programs under sanctions and still coaching college ball.  Granted it's UK that hired him, and with their history they are far from a bastion of integrity.

Kelvin lost today at home to Tulane in front of 8,000 empty seats. They could not have had more than 500 in attendance.

i wonder if Houston has the basketball department's telephone bills remitted directly to the Accounts Payable department in lieu of the basketball offices as was the case at IU and OU?
