It may seem optimistic. But it's more of the committee just being stupid enough to look at things so black and white.

I agree — I can’t come up with the logic that would put Colgate as a top ten NET team.  They even played a quad one game.

0 chance even if someone would of scheduled Colgate late in the season that that would of improved their resume.   Colgate is clearly an outlier.   Their overall NET isn’t as important as the numbers inside the sheet.   This is how this would go.  So team x has a win at Colgate- 8 Net.  Committee looks at Colgate’s resume and sees 12-1 against all Q 3 and 4 teams with 1 loss.    Looks like we have an outlier, nothing to see here move along

Holy crap.  Helen Keller could have made that call.  It's not remotely close.

Problem was it was off a TO by Miami and they were all down on the other end. No one was in position.   Still a terrible miss late in the game

They aren't the only outlier. You've said before the committee wouldn't look at Penn State objectively like that and they are 40th in the NET and are 10-13. Loyola Chicago is like 10th, St Bonaventure is top 25 I think.

They would look Penn St numbers and see a 40.   Then they will look at the resume and see that they have 3 Q1 wins and 4 Q 2 wins.   So a team winning at Penn St has a win over a team that has 7 Q1and 2 wins.   A little better then winning at a Net 8 team with 0 Q1 wins don’t you think?    Colgate is the outlier

Uhh nope. Beating a team that is 10-13 is pretty meaningless. Losing to a 10-13 team is even worse.

Rick Bozich just commented on this game:  Marquette has landed 5 4-star recruits the last 2 years.  Regime change in Milwaukee?

The style is different, but they have a lot of the same issues Archie’s got. If your primary facilitators are 1-1 assist/turnover guys who can’t shoot it you can’t be consistently good. Fascinating that Archie and Wojo were college PG’s who struggle teaching PG play.
