Northwestern hangs on. Underwood up 1 calls timeout with 50 secs to go with ball. Out of timeout set results in a shot clock violation. Down 2 with 7 sec out of timeout results in a bobbled ball and long Frazier 3

That final minute was so Illinois.

Shot clock violation out of a timeout, gave up a 3 after an offensive rebound, had to force a contested three at the buzzer after a timeout.

Might be coaching somewhere else but some positive news for them is 5 star center Kofi Cockburn seems to be trending Illinois way.

I personally don’t see anyway he isn’t the coach next year. While I think he style is trash I find it hard to believe they would let him go after 2 years. Their AD just extended Lovie in football. They are also sitting good with Terrance Shannon.

If he got fired, one of those struggling PAC-12 schools better look at hiring him. Chambers can coach. Penn State hasn’t really been that good but they fight. And the Pac12 sucks so he could help with that maybe a little.

This may not be too bad of an idea honestly. I think Chambers can coach. His teams fight like hell, play hard. Just if he could recruit halfway decent he could survive at most of the Pac12 programs. I know he had on good recruiting class while at PSU. Well good for PSU standards anyway
