Fwiw, IU tried. Maxed out visits, weekly handwritten letters... Bluiett is Crean's type of guy but he wanted immediate playing time. Can't win 'em all.

Ha. Bluiett did what was best for him probably. I certainly root for the kid. He got like 25+ min his first year, helped him develop into this year. Not saying you're rooting for him any different, but we can selfishly agree I wish he were stroking it from deep for IU currently. Crean does, as well.

we feel the same way here. No ill feelings towards Crean or Bluiett. Just think he could have been just as special for us. I get his desire to be the guy though and get high PT.

Just putting this out there.  Every season it seems like every top B1G team has that WTF loss.  Maryland has yet to have that unless you count the home loss to Wiscy.  Does Maryland make it past Minny tonight or that their WTF conference loss?  That's their last real opportunity for a loss of that nature unless they all decide to slam Illini heads into the court and the refs decide to actually do the right thing and boot them.

up until this week it was ahead of the big 10 in conference rpi. I agree sec isn't as strong but auburn and Tennessee beat Kentucky on their home courts Missouri which is terrible just beat South Carolina at home. Winning on the road in college basketball in conference is what separates pretenders from contenders

Ole Roy should've called a timeout. He had at least 2 from what I remember. It's a huge advantage to have 2 timeouts for the last play. It's not like his team was playing well that last minute either. I dislike both teams but I'm happy Duke won. The better Duke plays, Indianas loss takes to them takes less of a hit.

Still can't believe that UNC lost that game...but they went away from what was working for them (going inside) and started to settle for jumpers and that did them in.  

 

I have a UNC grad in my office and he hates on Roy.  It is awesome to watch.

Maryland hasn't really had one of those losses in the two seasons they've been in the Big Ten. Maybe losing @Illinois last year, but that was early in their first Big Ten season, and not really a horrible loss. They been close to a ton of WTF losses, but it just hasn't happened yet.
