The defense has actually shown some signs/flashes of progress under Knorr. The defense managed to get worse on a week to week basis with Doug last season

Statistically they are definitely showing improvement, just a long road to haul from where they were.

Yeah. And week to week we've seen some signs of improvement at times. I mean the Bowling Green game was an absolute mess, then we turn around against Missouri and played well. I still remember late in the year last year against Michigan, which might have been the worst coached defensive game in the history of football.

Yeah, we can throw in another QB who has never played at this level before and in 33 minutes of game time we can start looking for the next QB.
