Walking Boot of Doom

2014-2015 Season has officially begun!

The First player that comes to mind when thinking about Priller, aka Middle School Bob, lol, is former Hoosier Ben Allen.  He was a 6'10" Aussie that could stroke it and not rebound or dunk, but if used the right way, he could be effective.  He ended up transferring to St. Mary's and had a nice career.  Plays Pro ball now overseas.

I liked Ben and  think he would have fit in good with Crean's style.Just not with Samscums power ball scheme.

Was a good kid too.

St. Mary's was loaded with Aussie talent.  They still have that Aussie connection now.  They had a dude named Delladova that was real nice.  They had a nice team in the tourney a few years back when Ben Allen was a senior, i think they got to the Sweet 16.  I'd be satisfied if Tim Priller could develop into a player like Ben, offensively.  I'm pretty sure his skill level now as a player is pretty comparable to where Ben was as an 18 year old, size why they're already very similar.

Woodson---I always thought Ben was a big loss in other ways too.  He helped St. Marys establish an Australian connection and they got some good Aussie talent for awhile there.  I sure would not have minded some good  Aussie talent being pipelined to IU!

Allen was a connection, but in reality they had Australian players at St Mary's since 2001-2002. Plus recent NBA champion Patty Mills was recruited there in 06-07 so he was actually probably the main connection between St Mary's and Australia. Ben Allen could've been ours. I don't remember the coach that was on Davis' staff that recruited Allen, but he had been the same guy to recruit Andrew Bogut to Utah.

I want to say the coach was Kerry Rupp. He was at Utah for a few years before coming to IU for the last couple years of Davis' tenure.

Kind of went unnoticed yesterday, but Osterman asked a BTN guy about Hysteria and it will be streamed on BTN Plus for all you out of towners.

Caveat: That isn't the free streaming service though, you would have to pay a monthly fee to watch.

Yeah I meant to mention that Plus isn't BTN2GO. I know some do get Plus for the exhibitions though.
