Now starting at quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes...

I read an article about the kid today, he had some maturity issues upon his arrival on campus and a few individuals took him to the woodshed. He has apparently straightened out and is a better than 3.0 student. Have no idea what type of classes he is taking. He is a product of Ted Ginn Sr.

I would like to see the young man do well on Saturday. He is under severe pressure.

This is a real head scratcher. Riley is in his 60s and has an average record as a head coach. Heard Bret Bielma turned Nebraska down.

I mean, I get it sort of. He has way outperformed given being in Corvallis without a recruiting base and competing with Oregon. He's a good hire for a lot of programs. I just feel like Nebraska could get a proven coach from a smaller conference instead.

A lot of NU fans on their Rivals site are hoping he'll bring in Scott Frost to run the offense. Frost only has one year as an OC under his belt so they're hoping he can be named coach in waiting since Riley is already 61.

I doubt it happens though. Frost is in a good situation in Oregon. It would be tough to give that up.

Oregon PAC-12 championship game tonight!

I doubt Frost would leave, but it's an interesting prospect. Nebraska is his alma mater, there is no way that Mark Helfrich is going to be willingly leaving anytime soon so maybe not too much hope of HCing at Oregon. Unless he moves to the NFL of course, which I think is unlikely at the end of his second year, but may occur in the next handful of years if he keeps up this performance.

Well I watched a little over half of the title game. I've been skeptical about just how good Oregon is over the last few years, but they looked like the best team in the country last night.

As for Frost, I'm with you. If Nebraska really is an option it would seem his choices are to go to NU and be the coach in waiting for 4-5 years (or however long Riley coaches there, which I presume isn't terribly long since he's 61), or stay with Oregon for another year or two and see what kind of head job he could turn that into. The downside to picking NU, it would seem, is what happens if things don't go well for Riley in Nebraska and he gets fired. Of course this is all just speculation at this point,

Needs to be 8 team playoff. 2 schools are going to get robbed. 8 makes more sense anyway, but the way things unfolded thus year, even more so.

I agree in theory, and would watch the crap out of it. I still think it's too much post-season play for the kids. It tags an extra two games on for the championship teams.

If they expand to 8, then 9 through 12 will complain. I would prefer 8 than the current 4. If TCU and Baylor are left out, the B12 will be petitioning the NCAA to eliminate the 12 member conference rule in order to play a conference championship game, or they will have to expand to 12 or better like the rest of the Power 5. A Baylor and TCU conference championship game might have been the best game of the weekend if played.

Also, why do the committee members where suits and ties while watching the games?

Your Final Four

(1)Alabama vs. (4)O$U - New Orleans

(2)Oregon vs. (3)Florida St - Pasadena

Instead of debating over TCU and Baylor, they're both left out.

Credit to Wisconsin for laying over.

I'm so pumped. I secretly love Ohio State football and not so secretly love Oregon.

Plus, these games are gonna be siiiiiiiiiiick. Winston v. Mariota?

Alabama's Pro Style v. Ohio State's plug-and-play spread?

Hecks yea!
