Hoosiers are raking, up 8-3 in the 6th.

#23.   Winning streak continues with a 9-3 win.  We unlimbered our bats scoring 4 in the 5th, 3 more in the 6th and 1 in the 7th.  We had 10 hits including HRs from Kern (3-run) and solo shots from Minnick and Copeland.  4 Hoosiers with 2 hits each.  Copeland pitched a complete game scattering 6 hits and walked 1.  She struck out 8.

Kern's 17 HRs breaks the season record set by IU Hall of Famer and Olympian Michelle Venturella in 1994.   Kern is the B1G league leader in HRs and in RBIs (47).

Solo HR in the 2nd and Minny has a 1-0 lead.  Heather Johnson on the mound today.

Streak is over.  Minny wins 6-5 scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 7th.  They loaded the bases via an error, single and a walk.  With 1 out, a sac fly was the game winner.

We scored 5 in the 3rd with timely hitting and a Minny error.  They bounced back in their 4th with 2 runs and added a run in the 5th and in the 6th to tie it up at 7 apiece going into the 7th inning.  Johnson started; relieved by Copeland to start the 4th and in turn relieved by Kleiman in the 6th.  Hoosiers with only 5 hits and we left 7 on base.   

New winning streak starts tomorrow.

OOF!  Copeland gives up a HR to Minny's leadoff batter.

IU leads 3-1 with Minny batting in the 2nd.

Parker tied it up with a solo HR in the 2nd.  Kettleman followed with a triple with 1 out.  She scored on a bunt single by Mitchell who advanced to second on a Minny error and then stole third.  Bassett hit a run scoring double to make it 3-1.  She then advanced to third on a WP.  Kern HBP to put runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out but we couldn't score.

IU leads 5-3 after 4 complete.

Minny picked up 2 runs in its second aided by 3 IU errors, a wild pitch and a hit batter to tie it up at 3-3.

In our 4th we got a runner on 2nd with 1 out and Minnick delivered a HR to make it a 5-3 IU lead.

Hoosiers get beat 8-5.  We lost our second game in a row and we lost the weekend series.

Minny tied it up at 5-5 in the 5th and added 3 more in the 6th on a bases loaded 2-out triple off Kleiman.  She faced 10 batters and gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 BB in 1.1 innings.

We host Louisville Tuesday night and visit Notre Dame on Wednesday.  We're back in Bloomington next weekend to host Nebraska.  Need to get our mojo back ASAP.

Hoosiers win 10-5.   10-hits in the game.  Minnick 3-4; Bassett and Stone both 2-4.  Stone had 5 RBI.

Women on the road tomorrow night at Notre Dame.

Highlight last night was Copeland's 100th career strikeout.  Also last night, the team set a new season record for RBIs and there's a lot of games yet to be played.

Women are underway at Notre Dame (23-11) and lead 1-0 after 2 complete.  Copeland HBP, stole second and scored on a Mitchell single in the 2nd inning.

After 4 complete ND leads 5-1.

ND scored 2 in the 3rd to lead 2-1.  IU misplayed a bunt and a Copeland WP led to the Irish runs.  

In the ND 4th, nothing went right for our Hoosiers and ND scored 3 more runs.

We're just not firing on all cylinders tonight.  ND pitcher is in control with 5 strikeouts and allowed just 1 hit.

Going from bad to worse.  ND scored 3 more in the 5th.  Our offense hasn't produced (2 hits); our pitching let us down and we've committed 3 errors. Montgomery replaced Copeland in the 4th and faced 8 batters allowing 4 hits and walked 1 and replaced by Johnson in the 5th.

9-1 ND wins with the game shortened in the 6th on the 8-run rule.  ND put on a clinic against us tonight.  We had nothing.

Have to put this one behind us and get ready to host Nebraska this weekend.

Nebraska(27-13) (7-4) in town for a weekend series.  All 3 games will be televised on B1G+.  Have to get back in a groove after the Notre Dame fiasco.
