(2015) ATH Titus Booker to Wisconsin

Recommended Posts

I mean, if I had that option and were him I would do it too. But, I still hate it and everything it stands for.

I hate it too, but let's be realistic.  Why would a football stud want to come to Bloomington after what we're witnessing this year not to mention what we've witnessed for what seems to be the last hundred years.  You don't think Tevin Coleman isn't wishing he were playing somewhere else?

When one of IU's commits decides to take a visit to one of the known power schools and I still include PSU in that category, you have to be waiting for the other shoe to drop. Stevens attended a PSU game with 100K plus in attendance, Booker went up to Wisky with 80K plus in attendance, and Wisky put a beating on a ranked Nebraska team. The atmosphere around those programs is night and day as compared to IU's.

I have not checked the IU attendance figures for this year, but the three games I have attended appeared to be much less than the announced figure. Our tailgating is good, but our overall game atmosphere is lacking when compared to most of the other B1G programs. The stadium appears to be half full at times and I think this can play into a recruit's decision after visiting a Wisky, PSU and several other programs.

If there is a bright side, at least IU didn't lose the players to a program of equal of lesser status. It does stink to lose them to a couple of other B1G programs.
