A first-round bye...not impossible

Recommended Posts

Let's say that we need wins to get in the tourney because that is what we need. A bye would get us closer to the big ten tourney title game but a non bye would give us the opportunity for an extra win before that game should we advance a couple rounds but not win the thing. Does this make any sense cuz I had a yard time trying to word this

Guys..after watching some NCAA basketball shows today, I think our Crimson shaded glasses have us closer to being in than we really are. We aren't even remotely close to the bubble according to most people. I feel like we might be setting up for heartbreak. If we can rattle off 4 in a row, I think we will be close, but not sure about being "in". That would have us beating a really good Michigan team, then a top 4 B1G team in the 2nd round. Plus a Nebraska bubble team. Still not sure if that gets us in. Just telling what I've been seeing today.

I'm not sure it'll be a heartbreak if we don't make the tourney, especially since we were playing so poorly just a couple weeks ago that it was assumed we weren't going to be in, however the last couple wins has livened the mood a bit, but no one should have their hopes, too high...yet.

However, if we beat Nebraska and win at Michigan, and then start the BTT with a win, then I think we will be putting ourselves in the bubble talk, and if we get a second win in the BTT things may get interesting.

To heck with all this small ball thinking/planning! I say we make plans to be in Dallas!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! (Great line Bluto!)
Hoosiers are getting it together.....GO HOOSIERS!
(I've only had a beer and 1/2)

Unfortunately, we aren't close at all. We're not even back on the bubble. I think it'll take winning the Big Ten tournament no matter what if Hoosiers make it to the dance.

Team shot itself in the foot too many times. There's still hope though and I have a feeling the next week and a half is going to be really fun.
