Indiana Pacers 2.0

Recommended Posts

So what are the odds we see Cope or Butler tonight? ET just hasn't done much of anything right in this series. I'd like to say he'll break out eventually, given he has had a handful of games for us like that. But, his black hole offense, and "crazy wacky inflatable arm, flailing tubeman" arms on defense are getting a bit much to stomach every game.

I predict that if the Pacers lose yet another Game 1, they won't bounce back from it this time.

The last six and a half months were spent getting homecourt advantage for this upcoming series. Use it!

We've played our best basketball this season against the Heat. Even during the downward spiral we beat them. I'm looking forward to this series.

So this was on the front page of ESPN...

"With a small break in NBA playoff action, we take a look back and, with apologies to the Pacers, anticipate either a 2012 or 2013 Finals rematch."

I get why people are picking the Heat. Even as Pacer fans it's hard to trust this team anymore. It's just really hard to take in everything that's happened in the last month or so. The toast of the NBA from November to February, the collapse and embarrassing losses in March and April, the fear of the team getting blown up due to internal problems, barely escaping the Hawks and getting humiliated at home multiple times in the first two rounds, but somehow still reaching this point, only for the potshots to continue. It really seems like the media is going out of their way to pick on this team.

The media has pissed me off more this year than any year previous. Agreed on all the potshots, the pleasure they took when things were going wrong was unprofessional. Reporting it is one thing, but some of the comments from supposedly "unbiased" news outlets was so dumb.
