Has anyone here ever had moonshine? My friend's mom drinks it, so of course I make jokes about sitting down and drinking with her. Is it actually any good?

Once, and I won't drink it again.

 

FYI, if you didn't know moonshine isn't a type of liquor it's just a general term for any alcohol made illegally.  Whiskey is moonshine if it's not made legally, and that legal moonshine is just a marketing gimmick.

There might be a lot of people who don't know that, so you probably could.  Besides, there's still that stuff labeled as moonshine and they'd just lead you to that if they have it.  It seems like a lot of times it's white whiskey, but yeah moonshine really just means it's illegally distilled.
