Injury Updates

Recommended Posts

Per Goodman Twitter.

Noah Vonleh(ankle) said he should be full-go for next practice and Tom Crean said Troy Williams(hand) should return in the next couple days.

Crean also said that Luke Fischer(shoulder) is still a couple weeks away while Stan Robinson(knee) likely to be out 7-10 days.

These freshmen need to heal up. I was never worried about Vonleh, and hopefully no one was. It was made clear that it wasn't anything serious. I'm glad Stan's doesn't appear too serious. He'll provide key guard depth this year.

Noah's injury was never serious or time-threatening, fans read too much into him sitting out of HH

Probably right. It's just that so much is riding on Noah's play that some of us get a little anxious when he's hobbled.

I never said fans were at fault for worrying about NV, just read too much into the injury side.

Noah sat out for a reason, whether it was injury related or other-wise, we may never truly know. Let's hope it stays that way and this is the end of it.

Had a few beers with my Hoosier buddies over the weekend. Nobody seemed to be too concerned about Noah or Troy. Luke and Stan were the only worry spots. More Stan than Luke as at that time there was the uncertainty factor with nothing being let out yet. I really think fans do overreact more on the internet than they do in real life. I didn't see much reaction about Noah either place this weekend but I wasn't looking for it on the intertubes. Maybe I just didn't notice.

Also Will, I'm not sure why you would throw out the "other-wise" stuff unless you're thinking it was disciplinary. I saw nothing said this weekend to support that thought. Seems a bit unnecessary unless you have something to back it up with. I don't believe in creating problematic scenarios to get the internet overreactions started. I hope that wasn't your intentions and I'm misreading things here.

Also, since I couldn't  find a thread on Luke's injury and we don't have a search function (HINT HINT) I'll post some Luke news here too:

  1. "He's back doing 5-on-0 work and hopefully we'll have him by the second exhibition game, probably at the earliest." - Crean on Fischer #iubb

  2. On last night's ESPNU Midnight Madness broadcast, Tom Crean said Luke Fischer's injury is a torn labrum. #iubb

I'm thinking he may just wear a brace of some sort or a soft cast when participating in working out or basketball activities. Because there was nothing on either hand.
