Colts-Broncos

Recommended Posts

With the big game tonight I wanted to gauge some opinions. I know some people who hate Peyton now that he's gone, which I find surprising. Then there are those that like him but would rather see the colts succeed, sort of like myself. But now I'm seeing lot tossed around about people being fair weather fans for cheering for the Broncos as Colts fans.

Personally, I put the Colts first. But the Broncos, as long as they have Manning, are my second favorite team. I don't see a problem with this considering everything Peyton did for the Colts. He deserves to succeed. But to some, this makes me a fairweather fan.

What are everyone else's thoughts and stances on the matter (Colts fan or not)?

As long as Colts come before Peyton, you aren't fair weather. I love Peyton and I'm very glad he's had so much success this year. For this game, however, I hope he plays awful. I want to destroy the Broncos and let the world know the Colts are legit.

I am first and foremost a Colts fan.  Therefore, I will be cheering for the Colts tonight and whenever they play.  Even though Peyton plays for Denver now, I am still a fan of his.  Tonight will be the only game I don't cheer for Denver, unless we meet in the playoffs, all season.  I want the Colts to win the Super Bowl, but if they can't I want Denver to win it for Peyton's sake.

Die hard Colts fan, total respect for Manning. I still want the Colts to win, but want Manning to have a good game. I personally cannot stand John Elway or John Fox, but want to see Manning do as well as he can.

Peyton might be my favorite player of all time, but I hope he loses tonight. I hope #18 has a great game then one of his infamous 4th quarter int's come in to play. Go Colts!

Let me preface this by saying I am not a Colts fan in the slightest, mostly due to the fans you speak of. I CANNOT stand how many "Colts" fans are really just Manning fans. If they had only just said, "I'm a Manning fan" from the beginning, maybe I would have more respect.

But honestly, "honoring" your former QB when he is about to play you is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The Colts should be ashamed if they lose tonight when doing this. Having a "moment" for him, fine. But don't "honor" him until he retires, because you just look silly.

Also, I don't care what team jersey it is, if you wear a Manning jersey tonight, you don't support the Colts, you are supporting the opponent. Let's be real

Don't agree with this buddy. There will be THOUSANDS of Manning jerseys in Lucas Oil tonight just as there have been all season. If the colts didn't do anything to honor him they'd come off classless. He's a legend in Indy. That's like saying Bobby Knight can have a moment if he comes back to Assembly Hall, but we can't honor him.

Irsay should of just kept his mouth shut and should not have said anything.

It's pretty common that Jim Irsay should have kept his mouth shut and said nothing, but when you're a billionaire you can get away with that most of the time.
