LIHoosier Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Have the Steelers/Packers on and he's just made 4-5 plays in a row, he's everywhere. So I'll start this thread and hope he makes the team. Class of '66 Old Fart, Home Jersey, Crimson and Cream and 4 others 7 Quote

And yet people still revert to us not having the talent of other marquee teams. Devan spent one year at IU. That was enough to develop him into an NFL player. Plenty-o-talent. Lebowski Posted August 14 Posted August 14 To be fair, we was a stud at NC State before he transferred into IUFB. While in Raleigh, his ACL injury set him back. I'd imagine he would probably still be in good shape to make into the league regardless of coming to the 812. His versatility of playing safety and nickel is a hot commodity. But you're not wrong, he definitely developed even more under a Haines defense. Dude went off in the Rose Bowl game. Stuhoo 1 Quote

It’s becoming a trend; Hoosiers that weren’t full-time players for Cig are good enough to play in the NFL. Myles Price, Devan Boykin, Khalil Benson. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. For this year's transfer class, Preston Zachman is a good example. Zachman dealt with an injury last year at Wisconsin, much like Boykin. We'll see if he's able to elevate his game. I have to pinch myself sometimes because all of these transfers would never be possible without folks like Pam Whitten and Scott Dolson allocating assets to the program. I never would have thought I'd see the day where IU actually focus on football. Today's IUFB is here to stay as long as both of them are calling the shots. We need to get used to players getting into the league on the regular now. I'm struggling with it but I'll adjust sooner than later. Quote

Since safeties Shawn Asbury, Lou Moore, and Devan Boykin were able to dramatically elevate their game, I’m finding it hard to believe that Preston Zachman won’t also dramatically elevate his game.
