hper50 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 My hottest of takes is until students actually show up and make Assembly Hall a tough place to play, I'm okay with playing a game or two in Indy where alums who rarely get accessible tickets in Assembly Hall can see us play. Of course tickets have been a little cheaper on the secondary market lately, but students aren't even filling the lower level, let alone having a COMPLETELY empty balcony.... I don't expect anyone here to agree with this - I'm just a young alum in Indy who is frustrated by lack of turnout when it's hard for someone like me to get in the building Muskie plays the four 1 Quote

I took a look: About $100 or more for the lower AND middle tiers at Gainbridge. To watch IU play a not very good team Torvik has at preseason #59. I’m sorry, but that’s a bad value and I’d guess the place will be half empty. The nosebleeds are also a bit steep at about $40. I really think IU could price these Indy games better and get more people in the door and maintain the total revenue amount. That would be good for the atmosphere and getting IU fans back engaged with MBB after two tourney appearances in ten years. str8baller and Home Jersey 2 Quote
Hovadipo Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Yeah I’ll be looking to pick up a 4-pack for the family for cheap the week before. Got a feeling it won’t be too hard seeing those face value numbers. Quote

If you can do both of them for basically $500 that’s a pretty compelling weekend opportunity right there. 68Hoosier 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago FYI, tix up for sale if you're planning on going Home Jersey 1 Quote
Home Jersey Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just sharing for general interest I got an email that I am finally off the IUBB waitlist. Of course I am sadly not local anymore so it doesn't make much sense for me. There was limited availability, for the full season, in the upper balcony, cost is $784. Seat selection sent out in late July or early August. Quote

Hard to say no, but just not the right time for me to make that plunge. Home Jersey 1 Quote

I thought it was interesting that it seems like they're having a hard time selling them out, but not super surprising. Hopefully football season tix sold like hotcakes. In an ideal world I'd consider getting them and making the trip a couple times a season if I could sell the rest of the tix, but I don't think I'd be able to get rid of them even for cheap. At least not this year. Off topic for the thread, but I will always be mind blown how Cig instantly made IUFB a legitimate program. IU athletics would be in a world of pain if we didn't have him. And I'm very glad we are supporting his program like a real "football school" should. Hovadipo 1 Quote
