Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Did breaking the losing streak get the monkey off the back of our women's team? We'll find out Tuesday evening. Badgers (13-9) (5-6) are 11-1 at home. They average 70 ppg matching their opponents average shooting 42% FG and 35% on 3s. They average 36 rpg vs. their opponents average of 35. They're careless with the ball averaging 17 turnovers/game and a team assist/turnover ratio of .8. Destiny Howell at 14.6 and Kyrah Daniels at 12.8 are their leading scorers. Howell and Daniels are also their highest volume 3-point shooters at 44% and 32%. Lily Krahn shoots 47% but has only attempted 60 on the season. Gift Uchenna is their leading rebounder at 6.7 followed by Daniels at 4.8 and Ronnie Porter at 4.7. Uchenna is particularly strong on the offensive glass. Porter has their best assist/turnover ratio at 2.0. They don't commit a lot of fouls as Howell is the only player who averages more than 3 per game. A road win and a 2-game winning streak would be ideal as we host PUke next Sunday. Radio Live Stats mamasa, ronzo4IU, LamarCheeks and 1 other 2 2 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Feels like Bucky is another of those programs we dominated and looked down upon but has caught up to us and perhaps even passed us. We really never had to worry about Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska. Those were W's. We had beaten the Toiletmakers 13 times in a row, then got dusted two Sundays ago in Laffytown. In this case, we've beaten Wisky 11 in a row and 13 of 14. Hopefully, we make it a dozen straight. We looked pretty good for most of the Northwestern game, but really let up toward the end. Just like the men's team, we gotta watch our fouls. Yeah -- some are bad calls, but a lot are just being careless and foolish. Class of '66 Old Fart and mamasa 2 Quote

Think I text that a lot to my friends!?!? LamarCheeks 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Our already short roster is even shorter tonight. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Beau gets a rebound on the defensive end, dribbles into the corner ... and gets trapped. She got called for a questionable offensive foul, but geeze -- that's just stupid. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Down by 1 after 10 minutes. Six turnovers already. Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Caffey looking good 3-4 and 2-2 from deep for 8, IU down 1 end of 1st Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Nice little stretch here. Getting contributions from Kiaku and Caffey early on. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 And just as I say that, Kiaku dribbles along the baseline -- and steps out of bounds. Unforced error. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Two consecutive possessions without a shot. Horrible pass by Ciezki. Beau can't inbounds from the baseline -- 5-second call. Bad, bad turnovers. NatHillIV 1 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Down by 1 after 10 minutes. Up by 1 after 20. Turnovers are killing us. Just being really sloppy and forcing things -- plus a phantom carrying call on Beau. Here comes our Achilles' heel -- the third quarter. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 5 Posted February 5 We're 2 for 10 from distance -- and neither Makalusky, Beau nor Ciezki has hit one. Both came from Caffey. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted Thursday at 01:37 AM Posted Thursday at 01:37 AM Ciezki living off drives and midrange tonight. 14 points so far -- not a single 3-pointer. Quote

LamarCheeks Posted Thursday at 01:46 AM Posted Thursday at 01:46 AM Caffey picks up her fourth foul. No bueno. She's been playing well tonight. Quote
