Well why didn't you say so in the first place.  lol        Branham is the only name I have in my database of offers and potential offers.  UA has always been in 3rd place but there's usually been at least a half dozen names of IU interest playing UA.

I have so much time off this year and literally no plans for it that I’m tentatively planning to do both the UA and EYBL events in KC and chewing on doing the 3SSB event in Mishawaka. They fit together pretty well. But if Branham’s still the only UA offerree at that point that’s strictly an over and back. And, man, do I wish the Adidas event was still in Indy. Mishawaka is a hike.

It's your lucky day.  I just found the 3SSB schedule this morning.

UAA kicks off its season next weekend (April 17-19) in Kansas City, MO.  EYBL and 3SSB start the following weekend.

As far as I can determine, Chase Branham is our only offeree playing on the UAA circuit.

Under Armour kicked off its season this weekend and EYBL and 3SSB start theirs next weekend.  All 3 have events scheduled May 15-17.  

Here's an update on the NCAA recruiting calendar through the end of May.

April 20-30 - Recruiting Period:  Authorized athletics department staff may make in-person, offcampus recruiting contacts and evaluations.

May 1-9:  Quiet Period:  It is permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution’s campus. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts or evaluations may be made.  

May 10:  Dead Period.    There is an exception May 8-10 for the NBA G League combine.

May 11-14 - Quiet Period.

May 15-17 - Evaluation Period:  It is permissible for authorized athletics department staff members to be involved in off-campus activities designed to assess the academic qualifications and playing ability of prospective student-athletes. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts shall be made with the prospective student-athlete during an evaluation period.

May 20-31 - Dead Period.

EYBL and 3SSB weekend events underway.  '28 Malachi White (City Rocks) scored 15 straight points in OT as City Rocks defeated AB Elite 102-94.  White finished with 36 pts.

A nice game this afternoon, Meanstreets(Davion Thompson) vs Indy Heat(Isaiah Hill) at 330EST on court 2. 
Side note: after always having been free in the past EYBL is now charging for streaming. $4.00 for a weekend pass. It feels for all the world like a nuisance fee and is just sort of an irritant but it’s not the utter $crewjob that is Adidas, which charges $25 A SESSION. You want to follow 3SSB all weekend? Runs ya $75.

Ok, calling the 1st breakout kid of the EYBL season: watched Jeremy Jenkins’ game yesterday since at least he has a staff offer and he played ok. He kind of is what he is. But, he has a teammate I’d never heard of named Lewis Uvwo and, holy smokes, that kid was positively kinetic. 6’10”ish. Runs end to end like a gazelle. Blocked 8 shots according to the box but probably changed 5 others. Showed hands in traffic. Finished at the rim. Just a non-stop ball of energy and was doing it with this huge goofy grin on his face like he was having the most fun ever. Impossible not to fall in love with that kid.

247 says he played at Prolific Prep last year. Only saw a couple of their games really early in the year and he either wasn’t with them at that point or wasn’t heathy. Telling ya, watching a 6’10” kid being the hardest playing dude on the floor and clearly loving every minute of it is a sight to see.

EYBL stats for this past weekend's event.  Couple of teams didn't attend for whatever reason and this was not an event college coaches and staffs could attend.  May 15-17, in Memphis is the next major event and that is where we'll start getting a feel for who our primary targets are as coaches and staffs can attend that event.

Did some digging and he is from Nigeria and came through the NBA Africa Academy and really blew up their. Led his team to the quarter finals of their big tournament. Not sure when he got to Prolific Prep. Definitely a name to watch. Would much rather get a kid like him over say Isiah Hill. Pair him with Chase Branham and our returnees and watch out 2027.

Did some more digging and see he has offers from BYU and UCLA. BYU offered in March so he is not an unknown quantity. Hopefully Carr and Co. are aware of him and can get on him quickly. Do we have any connections to Prolific Prep?

Stats for our 3SSB offers are pretty sparse.  We have a very small number of offers out to kids who play on the adidas circuit and for whatever reason, a number of teams did not make the trip to California.  The 3SSB circuit does not report turnovers.

As I mentioned in above posts, some teams did not participate in the EBYL or adidas events this past weekend.  I've since learned that the EYBL changed its requirement for number of games required to qualify for Peach Jam.  Also, the DMV area had an event of its own and some of those area teams opted to stay home.  Lastly, some teams opted not to send their 16U and 15U teams.

 

2028 - 6’2 G Josh Lindsay of Mokan (16U) had two strong performances today at the KC Showcase in Kansas City W vs. MN Comets / 16 PTS L vs. i4 Sports / 23 PTS (7 3FG)
