Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 10 Author Posted June 10 NBPA Top 100 Camp gets underway and today and tomorrow are open to coaching staffs This morning DDV, KJ and Clark were all there watching Chase Branham among others. In his first game, Branham was up against Jason Gardner. In this game Branham 9p (4-9 FG, 1-4 3FG), 1r, 1a, 4t. Trevor Andershock reported Chase would likely have to be his team's primary ball handler this week as Andershock didn't see anyone else on his team to fill that role. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Adidas dealing with a PR nightmare. Had scheduled games for July 9-12 in Bryan, TX, and touted the 9th as a day open for coaches to attend. OOPS! An Adidas official sent out a memo saying that day “will no longer be an NCAA-certified live recruiting day” due to a “an oversight on our end.” So they've scrounged up overflow gyms to cram their planned game schedule into 3 days instead of 4. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 The USA U17 World Cup men moved into the semifinals with a 149-82 pounding over Puerto Rico. Their 149 point offensive barrage broke the FIBA U17 scoring record! July is a huge month for AAU basketball as all 3 major circuits wrap up their seasons and coaching staffs are permitted to attend July 9-12 and July 16-19. EYBL: July 8-11 in Vegas and Peach Jam July 14-19. 3SSB: July 10-12 in Bryan, TX and July 16-19 in Rock Hill, SC. UAA: July 9-12 in Atlanta and July 16-19 in Louisville We'll get a real sense of who the staff is prioritizing among our existing offers plus there's always new offers that are extended. Apparently there's a strong rumor '28 Yann Kamagate could re-class to '27. '28 PG JJ Sati-Grier with a triple-double with 13 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds. Was super engaged. Played with great energy and ran hard end to end which he doesn’t always do. Made a cute lefty jump hook off glass(he’s right handed) and dropped a little teardrop rolling down the lane that was a tough finish. Also made a 3 and his stroke looked good, though it usually does. His appeal is pretty obvious in the current roster building environment. He’s a physically mature and talented big kid who’ll be ready to contribute as a freshman and yet there’s no chance he’s a 1 year guy and his game is better suited to college because he’s not super athletic and he could certainly stay 4 years. Since that date, our number of offers out to 3SSB (Adidas) has increased quite a bit. After the first 2 sessions, detailed shooting stats were available. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 15 Author Posted July 15 In his opening game at Peach Jam, '28 JJ Sati-Grier (Team Why Not 16U) lit up the scoreboard with 39 pts. He was 14-21 FG, 2-4 on 3s, 9-11 FT and added 5r, 4a, 6s but did have 4t. This followed his 2 previous games last weekend where he scored 24 in each. Demo 1 Quote
