Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 22, 2025 Author Posted December 22, 2025 HS team is 9-2 on the season. They're currently participating in a Nike TOC event in Arizona. Played games Thurs., Fri., and Sat. Colvin scored 41, 34 & 34. Championship game tonight. BTW her 3-game scoring total represents 60% of her teams total points scored in the 3-games. Quote
Stuhoo Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 More info: She is the sister of former Purdue player Myles Colvin (now at Wake Forest) and the daughter of former Purdue footballer Roosevelt Colvin. Should be increased odds for IU since we are the home state team that allows her to be near friends and family, and especially since Purdue women's basketball is a complete, unmitigated cultural and on-court train wreck. mamasa and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 23, 2025 Author Posted December 23, 2025 Coeur d’Alene junior Brookeslee Colvin scored 26 points and was named MVP of the bracket, and the Vikings won the Dan Wiley Bracket at the Nike Tournament of Champions with a 60-44 victory over Villa Park (Calif.) in the championship game Monday at the Arizona Athletic Grounds. TTT Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Currently, low 4 star at 93 per ESPN. IU Ladies recruiting many in that range over the years. Quote

fwgreenway Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 Wow!...first time I've checked any highlights. OK, yes please bring her to IU and thank you! Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Watched her team (12-2) win a game 70-44. 27p, 7r, 7a, 5s, 2b, 1t She's fearless and takes a beating. Seemed like she was picking herself up off the court on almost every trip down the court. IMO, she should have had more FT attempts (7-8) than she got. Had no difficulty finishing with either hand at the rim but she was just 7-15 on 2's and several were pretty wild flings at the bucket. Listed at 5'9" short for CTM usual standards but Nevaeh is listed at 5'10". Interesting to see if this recruitment actually goes somewhere. WayneFleekHoosier, 8bucks and Banksyrules 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 After a 27 point game on Friday, she poured in 34 yesterday in a 65-60 win over Big Sky. Couer d'Alene trailed most of the game and by 6 after 3 Qs. They outscored Big Sky 21-10 in the 4th and Colvin fouled out with a little over 2 min. left in the game. She was 10-10 on FTs but just 2-10 on 3s. IMO too many of her 3s were attempted too far beyond the arc. Put it into perspective that many of her 3-point attempts were taken as far behind the high school arc as many of Wilkerson's for our men's team. Like yesterday's game, she spent a great deal of time picking herself up off the floor. In addition to scoring 34, she had 3r, 2a, 5s, 1b, 1t. Quote

She's #36 in the country? Who are the 35 girls in front of her? I don't know how they do these ratings? Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Another game, another romp for Couer d'Alene 65-31 over Post Falls. Colvin only played 3 quarters and running clock kicked in for the 4th. 38p, 6r, 4a, 4s, 0b, 1t Started out 1-5 on 3s; finished 5-10. I'm confident that every 3 she attempted was beyond the college 3-point arc. Couple were way too long and she missed badly. Team is now 13-2 and her stat line: 28.9p, 8.3r, 5.0a, 5.8s, 1.2b, 2.6t 44% FG, 32% on 3s, 83% FT WayneFleekHoosier and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Full stat line: 32p, 7r, 4a, 5s. 2b Final score 73-55 Colvin picked up her second personal foul with 6:13 left in the second quarter. Some coaches choose to sit their players for the rest of the half after two fouls. Colvin didn’t even look to the bench, where Boyd, in a red shirt, maroon pants, black vest and a wig attempting his best impersonation of Michael Jackson, didn’t budge either. “One thing about Brookeslee; I’m never worried about her being in foul trouble,” Boyd said. “She’s a high-level Division I player. With that said, she’s smart, she plays smart. There was a time she played with four fouls (in the first half), so two fouls is nothing to her. I always tell her, if you’re smart enough to get into that position, you’ve got to be smart enough to get out of it.” Colvin, who holds scholarship offers from nearly 30 schools, had 13 points at that point. She requests to guard the other team’s best player — in this case, Lake City senior Ella Pearson. Colvin scored eight more the rest of the half, and the Vikings were on their way. “He has a lot of trust in me, and I respect that from him,” Colvin said. “I was just trying to do my job. It was a little bit of a shaky start, but we were just settling in.” Colvin finished with eight 3-pointers, some from near where the coaches usually stand on the sideline. Senior Karisa Wallis added 10 points for Coeur d’Alene (14-2, 2-0), sophomore Lexie Wheeler eight. Pearson scored 14 of her 16 points in the first half for Lake City (6-8, 0-1). She had seven of her points in the first 3 ½ minutes as the Timberwolves jumped out to a 12-5 lead. The Vikings closed the quarter on an 8-0 run, seven of those points from Colvin for a 13-12 lead, and Coeur d’Alene never trailed again, building its lead to 41-20 at halftime and expanding the lead to 30 late in the third quarter. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Because I'd already gotten the details about the above game, I wasn't going to watch it but decided to because Colvin is a fun player to watch. Glad I did because it was definitely worth the price of admission. Coeur d'Alene and Lake City both have roughly 1,500 students in grades 9-12 and this is a rivalry every bit like us and PUke. They play for The FIsh which is a spirit award. This game was played at Lake City and in a setting you rarely see, team benches were on opposite sides of the court and the scorer's table at one end of the gym. Also something you rarely see at high school games is the place was jam packed and even though Lake City trailed by 21 at the half and the game went to a running clock at the start of the 4th Q, the place was still packed when the game ended. Reminder to me of high school games when I was in school in the last millennium. High school basketball ruled the winter months. GloryDays 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 I hope there's some genuine IU interest on her part. Last night in a 78-50 win her stat line: 35p, 7r, 8a, 6s, 1b, 0t. 14-24 FG, 3-5 on 3s, 4-5 FT. Shooting 46% FG on the season, 33% on 3s, 80% FT. 29.5p, 8.1r, 4.9a, 5.3s, 1.2b. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 Another ho hum game for Colvin scoring 39 of her team's 68 in a 68-45 win over Post Falls. She put on quite a performance in the 3rd Q scoring 19 of her 39 points, added 3r, 1a, and 3s. In addition to her point total, she had a total of 6r, 4a, 10s, 0b, 3t. She was 4-12 on 3s in this game right at her season average of 33% but I still think she move in a step or two. Her 3-point attempts are taken well-beyond the college line. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 I've commented on the length of her 3-point shots. This one might be a touch longer than her norm but not by that much and it swished the net. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Later in that game above, she made another one from damn near the exact same spot. Coeur d'Alene (19-2) defeated Lakeland (15-4) 75-64 in a pretty enjoyable game to watch. CdA led by 21 with 5 min. left but Lakeland made a furious rally. Colvin finished with 32 pts. that included hitting 6-10 on 3s. She was also 10-11 FTs., and added 5r, 7a, 4s, 0b, 1t and played all but the last 30 seconds. She took a hard body check and left the game after making 2 FTs, indicating it was her left knee. No idea how serious it may or may not be. Another interesting fact in this game is that of her 7 assists, 6 of them resulted in made 3s mostly when she drove to the rim and kicked the ball out to an open teammate. She also drew 8 fouls in the game. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 Colvin is the only player in the state to tally more than 100 rebounds 100 assists 100 steals while also averaging more than 20 points per game and she’s done it in back to back seasons. Regular season avgs 30.1pts, 7.8reb, 5.4stl, 5.0ast, 1.0blk. Quote
