Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Women's season officially opens Tuesday evening hosting Lipscomb. Last year Lipscomb went 20-12 but no idea what its roster looks like for the upcoming season. Then next Friday, UIC will be in Bloomington for a 7:00 tipoff. mamasa Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 I tried to look up Lipscomb preseason projections but was pretty limited. Here's what the good ol' AI gave me from google: Lipscomb women's basketball is expected to be a competitive team within the ASUN conference for the upcoming season, building on a recent record-breaking year where they consistently competed for championships. They are likely to finish with a strong conference record and potentially contend for a high seed in the ASUN tournament. 2025-2026 Season Outlook Competitive Contender: The Bisons have established a program that consistently competes for the conference championship, indicating expectations remain high. Strong Program: Lipscomb has had a history of success under coach Lauren Sumski, including three consecutive years with more than 17 overall wins and 10+ conference victories. Key Players: While specific 2025-2026 preseason All-ASUN predictions for the women's team are not available in the search results, the 2024-2025 team was led by key players such as B. Vinson (14.7 PPG), B. Vinson (6.4 RPG), and A. Cea (4.6 APG). Continued strong performance from returning players will be crucial. Statistical Strengths: The team's prior success was built on efficient scoring (second in the ASUN, top 50 nationally), strong three-point shooting (top 10 in NCAA DI), and disciplined play with few fouls and turnovers. Exact predictions for their final standing in the ASUN conference are not publicly available in the provided snippets, but their track record suggests they will be a significant factor in the league. TTT Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 Lipscomb returns 35% scoring and half of that is from a single player Molly Herd. Freshman and couple transfers and new faces per A.R. Quote

Claxdj01 Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 The points system kills the incentive to buy season tickets in my opinion. I bought them last year for the first time and was stuck 40 rows up while many were empty below. Half the time I went I bought cheap tickets in the first 10 or 15 rows on vivid. this team is so much faster than the last couple years. Stuhoo Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 They look great! Zania is one long, athletic big like no one we’ve had before. And Caffey is destined to be one of the best players in program history. Quote
Claxdj01 Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 (edited) My takeaways are this. Zs athletic ability and skill are impressive. and that size. Hopefully she can stay out of foul trouble, will only get better every game. Beaumont has a lot of Berger in her with more range, will be really good. phoenix isn’t afraid to come off the bench and fire it up. Had some nice plays, will bring energy and scoring ability off the bench. shay is trying to do too much. kadlecova is as skilled and smooth as anyone we have and better than maya by a substantial margin caffey is the real deal.
