IU offers 247 top 50 PG Nasir Anderson. Plays at Georgia powerhouse Norcross HS and in the 3SSSB circuit for Game Elite. Has had a huge spring. MVP of the FIBA U16 Americup event and was apparently 1 of the hottest ‘27’s at the NBPA Camp.

[Class of '66 Old Fart]

Anderson was named MVP of the recent FIBA U16 Americup tournament averaging just 19 min/game.  Assists and steals are pretty impressive.

2027 Nasir “Rudy” Anderson (@canttstop3) will be attending Prolific Prep (FL) for the 2025-2026 high school season — fresh off securing a gold medal with the U16 USA team — the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 12.1 PPG, 5.8 APG, and 6.2 RPG for Norcross (GA) last season.

 

Ryan Bernardi is on a major recruiting run.  With Anderson's announcement, we now have 4 offers who will be attending PP this fall:  Anderson, '26 Caleb Holt, '26 Davion Adkins and '27 Bruce Branch III.

Doubtful. It's my understanding that the Cuban $$$ is for football... now, can the kid kick/throw/catch a football? Can he block or TFL? :D

No idea how that’s allocated. 
One interesting thing about Anderson: checked out of curiosity and he’s really young. He doesn’t turn 17 until the end of July. So he’ll play his entire freshman year of college as an 18yo. Would not have guessed that at all given how strong he is and physically he plays.

He is technically still part of the ownership of the Mavericks, so I don't know if there are any conflicts of interests in him giving to the basketball program of a university.  I do know he met Cig after that Notre Dame game a year ago, and he decided he was all in on IUFB.

There must a lot going on behind the scenes on this recruitment because I can't recall seeing anything suggesting we were still knocking at the door.

The staff needs to be pushing all possibilities and until he says no keep going after them.
