If you're talking about Mellencamp it's older than 10 years and there is nothing state-of-the-art about it. It's sad how bad it is. Most athletic teams don't want to use it. The ceiling is too low for kicking, punting, baseball, softball and many other problems

Dedicated in 1996.  Wow

I just don't know where you put a new practice facility.

Move indoor tennis?

I know baseball does some practices in Mellencamp, but apparently not true hitting, if the ceiling is too low.... idk.

I would assume leveling Mellencamp is the move. The place is an eyesore and a piece of crap top to bottom. If that isn't an option...sacrifice the couple hundred parking spots directly west of the outdoor practice fields, put the new indoor either where those are now and send the fields west, or put the new indoor west of the practice fields.

Give Mellencamp to track and field. Ran track in college and Gladstein is probably only better than Purdue in the B1G.

Honestly location is pretty primo.  I would agree with the comment earlier to tear it down and build a big boy one.  Need a temporary site probably for a year

Cignetti asked about the potential for snow Friday night: "I hope it snows a foot and a half. We have a Canadian quarterback. Did you see this guy throw the ball against Purdue?"

The only way this could be better is if he called them Purdon't

I was also -14 years old when this happened and it was 50 years ago.

And no probably about it, undoubtedly the biggest game we've ever had in football.

Reflecting on the '67 - '68 IU football team and their accomplishments...They won the bucket, the Big Ten (3-way tie), and went to the Rose Bowl!  That beats this year...we did not win the Big Ten and South Bend and Notre Dame...while that is huge...it is not a New Year's Day Bowl.  It is in the BCS playoffs.

Which is bigger?  Debatable.

But I lean to the Rose Bowl participants and B1G Champs in '68.

Win against Notre Dame...and yes, this season is getting possibly bigger.  Coverage from The Herald-Times on Nov. 26, 1967 of Indiana football's 19-14 win over Purdue that clinched the program's lone Rose Bowl appearance.

Did you know that according to a survey of Notre Dame's students, that their mascot...the Fighting Irish...is the 4th most offensive nickname in college sports?

Maybe they will go back to the historical mascot:  Quasimodo.

I know that name rings a bell.
