Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Fishers had the game totally in their control after 3, leading 63-45 and then almost laid an egg in the 4th when Pike really cranked up the pressure and had the lead down to 7. Fishers held on for a 76-67 win still without Jason Gardner. The story below mentions Ethan Hillman (6'7" sr.) who just became eligible for Fishers last weekend. From what I've read, he started out at Fishers as a freshman then transferred to Joliet West in Chicago before playing the first part of this season at Brentwood School in Los Angeles. Must be an interesting story behind this vagabond. Good game story. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/no-1-fishers-makes-statement-060025134.html WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 Gardner still out with injury; I've seen Feb. 5, as a projected return date. Even without him, Fishers keeps on winning (17-0) defeating Franklin Central 76-28. Cooper Zachary scored 36p hitting 10 3s. Really be interesting to see where he ends up and how he performs at the college level. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Paywalled story on On3 following Gardner's UV. I had previously seen Feb. 5, as a possible return to action date for him but in this story he indicated to Kyler Staley it would be around the start of sectionals - first week of March. He says the right things but don't they all? DDV's guards have freedom on the court. DDV is cool and laid back. Likes that DDV said he wants to play faster as the years move on. Good relationship with Drew Adams; still working on the relationship thingy with DDV and the other coaches. Quote

That doesn’t look real promising in the near term. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Sunday at 02:11 AM Author Posted Sunday at 02:11 AM Injury was first publicly reported on Dec. 20, so 7 weeks later still in a brace. Not good. Quote

As a Hoosier recruit this is very good news. The time and attention we can pay to an injured recruit that’s only 45 minutes away is gonna be much more than out of area teams will spend. 8bucks 1 Quote
