Utah Prospects wins the 3SSB championship 61-51 over Indiana Elite.

IE down 16 points to Utah Prospects with 4 min. remaining and cut it to 8 points with 2 min. and to 6 with 46 sec. left but could get no closer.

Utah won almost every statistical category and especially outscored IE in the paint 30-16.  Its physical play resulted in an 8 pt. advantage from the foul line for IE but IE couldn't overcome 35% FG shooting vs Utah's 45%.  Mullins the only IE player to score in double digits finishing with 22 pts.

Box scores have only been posted for the 17U teams at the 3SSB event.  I'll post Nate Ament's and Mikel Brown's numbers later this evening.   Our staff watched multiple games of Ament, Brown, Moreno, Mullins and Sisley.  They also watched 16U Manny Green, Anthony Thompson, Tay Kinney and Jonathan Sanderson.  Only bits and pieces of information came from the 16U games.

Kinney had 1 game with 21p;  5r;  7a   13-16 FT.    Another game with 23p hitting 13-13 FT.

Sanderson had a 28 pt game hitting 5-9 on 3s; and added 3r and 3a.  Another game with 18p and 10r

Thompson had games with 18p;  26p and 9r;  11p; 11r

 

'27 Jason Gardner (Fishers HS) does not hold an IU offer but had games with 22p;  28p hitting 16-20 FT; and had 2 additional 28 pt. games.

Yeah, they all appear to be off. This only the FT, I didn't check the other percentages. These are only for the listed games so maybe the percentages includes games not shown, but that would mean that Mullins FT shooting in those other games was horrendous.

Moreno: 13/22 is 59%

Mullins: 22/24 is over 91%.

Sisley: 23/18 is 72%.

You're reading it wrong. Might be getting rendered incorrectly on whatever you're viewing this site on. On that day, he hit 2 of 4 3-pointers and was 7 of 8 on FT. So you're looking at the 3PA and FTM columns.

I believe you and @go iu bbare not interpreting the columns correctly.  You're comparing FTM against 3PA.  Also, the averages at the bottom of the tables are for over 20 games for all 3 players and not just how they did this past weekend.  And I'll never claim my data is perfect.  It's a lot of data entry and easy to make mistakes.

I did go back and review Mullins' free throw shooting and I did have a really bad data entry error and after correcting it, his 22 game FT % changed to 82%.  Just can't find competent help these days!

That makes more sense. Dropping it from 91% on 24 attempts (not a small sample) down to 58% would be terrible shooting in those other games. Did you accidentally put a very large number into the attempts sum?

In conjunction with the EYBL's Peach Jam that features the top teams on that circuit they're also running the Peach Invitational Tournament (PIT) which includes a number of other EYBL teams that did not qualify for Peach Jam.  Team Melo (Kiyan Anthony and Tyler Jackson) is one of those teams.  Today Anthony had a 40 point game hitting 15-19 FG; 5-6 on 3s and 5-8 FT.  Jackson scored 21 pts on 8-17 FG; 1-3 on 3s; 4-4 FT.
