Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 Rivals doing a countdown of it's 5-star rated players. At No. 9 is PG Darius Acuff (@DariusAcuff) “A volume-scoring guard capable of making difficult shots look easy and absolutely taking over games from a scoring standpoint, Acuff is as exciting as prospects come. The Detroit native continues to make small strides when it comes to his shot selection, which still needs refining, but he is already one of the most reliable and explosive scorers in the country. Acuff is a shot-hunter that creates for himself off the bounce and has become a better passer in recent months. Michigan. Kansas and Arkansas seem like the most serious players in the Acuff sweepstakes. ” ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Demo Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 https://x.com/247HSHoops/status/1806742964305121365 Officially off the board. They had pretty clearly prioritized Brown though I don’t know if that was staff decision or an Acuff-was-going-nowhere decision. Quote

I think Peterson and Maleek Thomas are the best guards in the class but Haralson, Mullins is a nasty option as well. We will lose Gallo, Leal, and possibly 1 of Rice/Carlyle. We’ll possibly return Newton, Cupps, and 1 of Rice/Carlyle. Maybe both. Seems like we will need 2-3 guards. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

BA47591 Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Dominos falling a bit now with the guards: Next 4: Peterson-Kansas, Thomas-UConn, Jasper Johnson-Kentucky, Mullins-Indiana I think Shrewsbury's hard work pays off in here somewhere. Haralson-Koehler??? lillurk 1 Quote

BA47591 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I know Johnson is a top 15 talent, he just always plays like crap when I watch him. Mingo and Mallory are always great when I watch them, but my idea of point guard is a creator, team leader. Robert Wright III type. Quote
