Doesn’t seem to be the case with Beard, though. Imo, the most favorable reading of these facts for Beard is that his fiancée was instigating, maybe hit him first, and he then escalated. That’s… not ideal. He’s not the first person in sports to deal with these accusations. If they’re good enough, they tend to get a second chance. But it’ll probably take a while. Quote
