Overcame a 33 point game from the Illini's Makira Cook, 20 of which came in the second half. It felt like she was the only one scoring for them.

#3 UConn lost on the road to  #7 Notre Dame 74-60.

We go on the road next Thursday night at Penn State (7-2).  They lost to Minny yesterday 98-96 in double OT.

We can't afford to lose any more players to injury.  Hopefully, Geary's is nothing remotely serious.

Had the ball most of the time and a soft touch.  Defense did not affect her because gave her enough space so defender ineffective.  Holmes got a big block towards end of game.  IU Ladies hesitate on offense, uncomfortable on shots and 3 ball really looking inside plus got out rebounded.  (Grace Berger really missed…defense, mid range, rebounding, her physical presence and making those around her a lot better).  Illinois scouting and game planned accordingly but forgot to win.  IU Ladies did a lot to lose and played not to lose but won the game.

Sounds like Geary may be back for Penn State.  If not it’s suppose to be short term.

Sometimes you need to win games that you should have lost.  This appears to be one of those times.  How we respond to Penn State will say a lot about us going forward.
