Live Stats

One match removed from a dramatic encounter on the final day of the regular season, Indiana men's soccer (9-3-6, 3-1-4 B1G) and Maryland (10-2-5, 4-0-4 B1G) will meet again in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal round Wednesday (Nov. 9) night on Ludwig Field.

The match will be televised on Big Ten Network with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.  Fans can also stream the match at foxsports.com/live.

SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana is playing in its 10th consecutive Big Ten Tournament semifinal. The Hoosiers are looking to advance to the championship match for a sixth straight season.
• Both teams are undefeated in their last four matches.
• IU is 3-3-1 against ranked opponents this season.
• Redshirt senior Ryan Wittenbrink has scored go-ahead goals in back-to-back matches and has tallied three goal contributions in his last three games played (two goals, one assist).

ABOUT THE TERRAPINS
• Maryland comes into the match with a 10-2-5 record and a 4-0-4 mark in Big Ten Conference play. Its last result was a 1-0 win over Northwestern in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal.• The Terrapins are led by 30th-year head coach Sasho Cirovski, who has compiled a 424-162-64 record at Maryland and a 450-175-71 career record over 32 seasons as a head coach.
• Six Terps have tallied at least 10 points this season, led by senior midfielder Malcolm Johnston's 15. Johnston is also tied for the team-high in goals with junior forward Stefan Copetti, with each player tallying five scores. Redshirt senior defender Nick Richardson and redshirt sophomore midfielder Joshua Bolma lead the team with seven assists apiece.

SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana has the slight better of the all-time series, winning six matches to Maryland's five, but the two teams have tied eight times.
• Wednesday will mark the fifth Big Ten Tournament meeting between the Hoosiers and Terps, with IU advancing in three of those instances.
• IU and Maryland have met in the final match of the regular season each of the last three campaigns, going 1-1-1 in those matchups. This season, IU led 1-0 from a 25th minute goal and
held the Terrapins scoreless into the 87th minute before they equalized. In that moment, the Hoosiers flipped from the Big Ten Co-Champions to the No. 4 seed in the tournament as the
match ended in a 1-1 draw.

A bye and top 16 is in play but only if IU is victorious next two games and wins conference tourney (I don't think tying and advancing in PK's will be enough in either game). The RPI is 23 and two road wins over Maryland and either OSU or Rutgers will be enough to get that number into the top 16 as needed.

Watched the entire first half.  Maryland started with crisp passes but IU soon took command.  IU's offense is sweet.  Maryland tries long shot setups but they don't work with IU's defense.  It has been really interesting considering Maryland is the one seed and at home.
