No. 18-ranked Indiana men's soccer (4-2-3, 1-1-2 B1G) returns home Wednesday (Oct. 5) to host in-state rival Notre Dame (5-3-1, 2-2-0 ACC) on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

The match will be streamed live on the Big Ten Plus digital platform with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.

The first 500 fans at Wednesday's match will receive a free adidas eight-star logo hat. Students are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. ET for a Hoosier Army tailgate at the northwest stadium gates, where free pizza will be served.

SETTING THE SCENE
• This matchup was previously scheduled for September 3 but had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather.  
• Indiana is 3-0-2 at home this season and undefeated in 14 consecutive matches at Bill Armstrong Stadium going back to the 2021 season. IU is 12-0-2 in that span.
• The Hoosiers have recorded 18 goals from 11 unique goal scorers this season, averaging two goals per match. Redshirt senior Ryan Wittenbrink leads the Hoosiers in goals (4) and points (11).
• Senior forward Herbert Endeley has tallied six goal contributions (two goals, four assists) in Indiana's last six matches.ABOUT THE FIGHTING IRISH
• Notre Dame comes into the match with a 5-3-1 record. Its last result was a 2-1 over ACC opponent Boston College.
• The Fighting Irish are led by fifth-year head coach Chad Riley. Riley has compiled a 48-32-10 record at Notre Dame and a 99-58-24 career record in 10 seasons as a head coach.
• Junior defender Paddy Burns leads Notre Dame with four goals, and junior forward Daniel Russo, freshman midfielder KK Baffour and sophomore defender Kyle Genenbacher each have tallied a team-best three assists.

SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana owns a 32-10-3 record against Notre Dame all-time and is undefeated in the last five meetings, going 4-0-1 in that span.
• Three of the last four contests have gone to overtime, including last season's 3-2 win for IU; Ben Yeagley scored the winner with a laser in overtime after Tommy Mihalic scored a brace in what was his IU debut.
• The two teams have met in 20 of the last 21 seasons, only missing the unique 2020-21 campaign due to IU's conference-only schedule. In that span, the programs have met 23 times.
• Indiana's first-ever varsity match was a 5-1 victory in South Bend. The Hoosiers then won 11 straight matchups to kick off a series that has been renewed 45 times.

Having Munie back tonight was huge. Team looks much more comfortable and confident on D when he is in there. Best game since Akron by the team and that was last time Munie played before the injury. Team has the talent to make a deep run but need Munie to do it.
