Apparently the staff watched Greenville, TN  top 50 ‘26 PF Trey Thompson yesterday. Has been a priority PU target for a while.

DeVries reached out to him Saturday night. It's unclear if he was offered at that time or not but IU is at least looking at him. Rod Clark was previously recruiting him while at UT.

Purdue might be the school to beat but it sounds like he's still open as far as his recruiting goes. He's planning on making visits to multiple schools this summer and fall.

This would be a gut punch to Purdue to pry this kid away as no other P5 schools has recruited him longer and harder.

247 with a story behind the paywall but love this quote from Thompson:  "If the head coach texts you, that's something special."

So refreshing to have a staff that's been so active on the recruiting trail.  I'm not throwing stones at Ya, Kenya & Brian because they took their cue from Mr. Lazy personified.

Brandon Jenkins reports we (Coach Norton) watched the following on Friday at the UAA event.

'26 SF Christopher Washington Jr. - Providence Chrisitian Acad., Murfeesboro, TN   (B Maze Elite)

'26 SF Collin Paul - Calvary Christian Acad., West Palm Beach, FL   (SOH Elite)

'26 C Arafan Diane - He's been mentioned before as he had a WVU offer while DDV was head coach

The more I see about his time at IU, the more the Woodson hire is just mind-bogglingly bad. He didn't think it was his job to recruit. He thought the assistant coaches were supposed to do all the recruiting and just bring him players. Kind of like how a professional GM makes the roster. Apparently, he said as much to one of his assistants saying something along the lines of "it's your job to bring me players."

Diane has 1 of the biggest frames for a 17yo that I’ve seen in a minute. Put that kid in a college strength/conditioning program and he’s gonna be immovable.

This kid is a two year project wherever he commits. Slow motion processing with everything.

Rabby says a name to know is 6'10" PF Cameron Williams from Phoenix, AZ. Currently ranked 30th by 247 but might make a jump.

Thin (only 190 lb) but long and graceful. Good rebounder and shot blocker. Has range on offense.

Won't be surprising to hear that '26 Arafan Diane receives an IU offer.  Pretty strong hint coming from Raby.  He's from Norwalk, IA and plays AAU for Iowa United on the 3SSB circuit.  Thru 8 games he's the rebound leader averaging 9.4.

16.8 ppg  / 9.4  rpg         53-66 FG for 80%          4-7 on 3s           24-35 FT for 69%

Rabby says another player to keep an eye on is Najai Hines, a 6'10", 250lb center from NJ.

https://247sports.com/player/najai-hines-46146558/

He also says that his sources have indicated that the only recruit that's been offered who seems to be a long shot is Toni Bryant. IU seems to have a legit chance at the others.

Mods: can we pin this as well as the 2027 and 2028 threads and unpin the old recruiting threads?

Nice. Plays against Sammy Jackson tonight. Easy add.
