Andrew Slater -  6’11"   Yves Missi ’24 @Yves_missi of @PSACardinals & @WestNotHoops has now earned an offer from Indiana University.

Listed as a 4-star on 247 and attends West Nottingham Academy in Colora, MD.  No stats on MaxPreps.  Member of PSA Cardinals on the EYBL circuit.

Jamie Shaw just a few days ago:  Yves Missi is an intriguing name. He is an athletic 6-foot-10 forward with natural fluidity. He can face the basket in the half-court and put it on the floor or finish above the rim in transition. There is still a raw element to his game, but the Colora (MD) West Nottingham Academy forward has a lot of upside to continue tracking.

Rob Cassidy 4 days ago -  Missi put up wildly impressive numbers on Friday. And while it must be noted that the 6-foot-10 sophomore was significantly taller than anyone on the floor during his 16U game, his skill set certainly looks translatable. Missi moves well laterally for a young prospect of his size and seems comfortable with his fame, which allows him to show impressive body control under the basket while finishing and racking up rebounds.. The class of 2024 prospect finished Friday’s game with 20 points and 16 rebounds of one of the weekend’s most dominant statistical efforts. A high-effort defender, Missi blocked four shots in the contest and changed a dozen more.

Recruitment: Missi holds early offers from UCLA and St. John’s. He will likely see a long list of high-major programs join the chase in the year ahead.

DuShawn London Dec. '21 - Fairly new to the scene, 6-foot-10 big man Yves Missi was very impressive in my first time seeing him. After last night's performance, he received an offer from Syracuse finishing with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. What stands out right away when seeing Missi is his length. He's also very mobile for somebody his size. He's a good rim runner, strong finisher, and protects the rim. He holds additional offers from DePaul, St. Johns among others which will expand throughout the year. Missi will be a name to watch in the first 2024 national rankings.

Rob Cassidy --

WHAT HE DID: A 2024 prospect, Missi arrived at the first live period with only a handful of offers, but he has used the month of April to aggressively accelerate his recruitment. The 6-foot-10 center is proving to be a game-changing rim protector that is starting to develop a well-rounded offensive game. He’s averaging nearly 10 rebounds per contest playing 16U in the Nike EYBL and is unquestionably one of the most promising young big men on the circuit. His current ranking of 39th seems a bit too low after seeing him live on a couple of occasions.

RECRUITMENT: Missi held offers from Rutgers, UCLA and a couple others before the grassroots season kicked off. Those early believers have been joined by schools such as Kansas, Indiana, Syracuse and Michigan on Missi’s offer list in the last few weeks. The picture of his recruitment is going to get a lot more crowded before it begins to clear up.

HEY OLD FART

He is going to a truly top tier boarding school with 99% of graduates attending college, many of them Ivy Leaguers.

I bet many of the schools pursuing him are seeing if he will be willing to reclass to 2023.

Seem to remember reading when he came on board that Isaac Green was some kind of coaching savant. Getting in with that program would be great. I believe Archie offered a couple of guys from that program, Hassan Diarra comes to mind, with no luck.

Archie offers to PSA Cardinal players in addition to Diarra.

  • Avery Brown
  • Zion Cruz
  • Franck Kepnang - this offer was mind boggling to me.
  • James Bouknight
