Talk about close.

Illinois won 11 out of 20 sims, but IU actually outscored them by 2 points.  Average score IU 68.8, Illinois 68.7

Illinois wins:  65-62, 74-63, 77-67, 74-63, 59-58, 76-65, 67-66, 72-70, 75-59, 75-69,67-62

Indiana wins:  70-69, 71-62, 68-65, 77-67, 70-64, 82-66, 77-55, 78-76, 78-69.

I put Lander and Durr in the ten man rotation.  Figure even if Durr is in the doghouse, they'll need him in some against Cockburn.  

IU stats:  492/1164 from the field (42%), 134/388 from three (35%), 258/370 free throws (69%), 764 rebounds, 326 fouls, 292 assists, 260 turnovers, 76 blocks, 126 steals

Absolutely have to get Kofi in foul trouble this game! I fear TJDs track record vs 5s that are bigger and stronger. Durr did fairly well against Edey, I would imagine he could provide some relief for TJD. But can’t rely on that alone.

Here’s hoping they use elements of the offensive game plan from the Purdue game, with a helping of what Loyola-Chicago did last year in the tournament: pull Kofi away from the basket. IU’s bigs aren’t the style of pass/handle playmakers Cam Krutwig is but the guards can snake PNRs and make Kofi defend in space.

The recurring theme in the sims was that Kofi and/or TJD in foul trouble.
