Women's program dipping into Finland and with a familiar team.  Henna plays for the women's HBA-Marsky team; Miro Little plays on its men's team.  She's listed as 183 centimeters in height.  (6' for you non-metric folks).

Hmmm.. do I detect a possible dual motive? She’s a really good player, and her and Miro are buds:

The Finnish U18 girls for the superior Nordic championship - the boys took the silver
The 18-year-old Nordic Championships brought Finland two medals - gold for girls and silver for boys. Henna Sandvik and Miro Little were chosen as the most valuable players in their own tournaments.”

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's basketball has announced the signing of Henna Sandvik for the class of 2026.

A 6-foot guard out from Helsinki, Finland joins Lexus Bargesser (Grass Lake, Mich.) and Lilly Meister (Rochester, Minn.) to the Hoosiers freshman class for next season.

Sandvik plays for the Finland Senior National team, where started she both games last week in the 2023 Eurobasket Qualifier. Sandvik scored 7 points and had 3 rebounds against Ukraine. With her club team, HBA Marsky, she is currently averaging 15.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. In addition, at the 2019 U16 European Championships, she averaged 13.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

"We are really excited for Henna to join our program," Indiana head coach Teri Moren said. "She is a competitive player who does a little bit of everything. She can handle the ball and attack the basket, shoot the 3 and she is a good defender who rebounds. She has continued to grow her game over the past few years as we have been recruiting her. She is going to keep getting better and better."

Täydellinen. Voimme kommunikoida toistensa kanssa salaisuus!

Vanha pieru eilen illalla juhli ryhmän erittäin onnellisia supermalleja. Kaikki olivat valmiita jakamaan hänet jokaisen ryhmän jäsenen kanssa. He pitivät hänen kertomiaan tarinoita vanhoista hyvistä ajoista ennen Internetiä tai puhelimia helvetin seksikkäinä.

I'm excited to see her develop. The staff has done an excellent job of developing (CMM+Berger)... and hopefully Henna can be one of those girls, as well.

Next year looks incredibly promising, as well, Henna could be a big part of that.

Every year looks incredibly promising for IUWB!

We'll need another ball handler. Hopefully, Lexus Bargesser can develop into that role.
