Law speak.

But the preponderance of evidence shows that he's a cheat.  And a poor sport.  And not a good leader

And should not get all the credit for an entire team's wins.  The defense had as much if not more to do with the win than the poor sport cheat.

I'm not a Patriots fan and I've read enough of that Deflategate report to know it was a farce.  It was pretty clear the NFL didn't care about air pressure, and most of their own numbers fell within the ideal gas law; IIRC only measurement in that report didn't.

NFL won public opinion, but that investigation was a joke.

You keep repeating your “football is the ultimate team sport” line. Sure, it’s the ultimate team sport. Quarterback is part of the team. Arguably the most important offensive player because they touch the ball every play. Tom Brady has quarterbacked better than anyone else in NFL history.

Wait...you took team accomplishments and narrowed them down to individual accomplishments...and feel good about that?

Yeah I guess I don't understand how this is hard to understand or even arguable?

Because he diminished a franchise accomplishment down to an individual accomplishment to fit your narrative?

At halftime, NFL officials inspected the footballs. The Patriots' game balls were re-inflated at halftime to meet specifications and were reintroduced into the game.[20] No issues were raised on the pressure of the footballs used in the second half.[21][22]

The Patriots led 17–7 at halftime; in the second half, the Patriots scored 28 points for a final score of 45–7.

Moral of the story? Cheaters never prospe... ahhh, never mind.

In the 22 games (including playoff games) prior to Deflategate, Brady was completing 63.3 percent of his passes for 248.7 yards per game, via a broadcast graphic from ESPN. He was averaging 7.01 yards per pass, and had 42 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also had 33 passes over 25 yards. That rings up to a passer rating of 95.6. You can’t beat that, right?

Well yes, Brady can, and he did. In the 22 games after Deflategate, Brady completed 65.3 percent of his passes with 305.2 yards per game with 51 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He’s averaging 7.69 yards per attempt with 57 completions of 25 yards or more and a 102.8 passer rating.

He’s thrown more touchdown passes than any other quarterback in NFL history. He has more touchdown passes than Joe Montana and Steve Young combined. And I’m sure you’ll just respond with “touchdowns are a team star. Football is the ultimate team sport.” Brady has also thrown 60 fewer interceptions than Peyton Manning despite attempting over a thousand more passes.

You’re a one man army at this point. If you want to argue that the 7x Super Bowl champ, 5x Super Bowl MVP, and all-time passing touchdown leader isn’t the best quarterback ever, knock yourself out. I’m guessing that Brady spent his career beating your favorite team and you’re still upset about it.

You should read the Ted Wells report.  It's a little more scientific than the Stuhoo report.

Touchdown throws are not a team stat.  Clearly you don't grasp what I'm saying.  Or you're too ingrained to try.

Not a fan of Brady or the Pats and I 100% agree with this.

Well, Brady has more of those than anyone else too. He also has fewer interceptions than the next 5 guys on that list. He’s second all time in passing yards. And he didn’t get the benefit of playing in a dome like some of the other top guys.

Brady has better team accomplishments than any other quarterback in NFL history. He also has better individual accomplishments. Combine the two and it’s awfully hard to poke any holes in his GOAT quarterback argument. I get that a lot of people don’t like him or the Patriots. But his career speaks for itself. I’ll be stunned if we ever see a better one.

That's what they said about Thorpe, Luckman, Graham, Unitas, and Montana.

So maybe.

It definitely could happen. I expect his individual records to get broken, especially with how much teams pass nowadays. But I’ll be completely shocked if another QB ever tops 7 Super Bowl Titles and 10 appearances. Not even any franchises have done that yet.

I think the biggest hindrance is staying out of the concussion intensive care unit for a long career. Brady has been unbelievably injury-free.

The only time he’s missed games from injury was when he tore his ACL in 2008. Since then, the only four he’s missed were when he got suspended. That’s remarkable in any sport, but especially one where 300 pound men are trying to tackle you every play.

Suspended for cheating,  right?  What a leader.

You’re saying it’s the ultimate team sport, okay. But there is still individual positions. And Tom Brady is the best to ever play at his position.
Like what is there to argue?

You're talking about two different stats, then saying that because somebody leads one stat they must lead the other.  Then using that as a basis?

Which quarterback(s) do you think was better than Brady?
