NOTES
  • The Hoosiers are fresh off a 67-65 win at UCLA on Sunday to keep them undefeated on the season. Penn along with redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg each added 17 points in the victory.
  • With Notre Dame's loss at home on Sunday, Indiana now owns the nation's longest active win streak at 13 games. IU also has the eighth longest active home win streak in 15 games which is also the longest in the Big Ten.
  • IU also received votes in this week's polls, coming in with five in the AP Top 25 and a vote in the USA Today Coaches Poll. They are one of eight Big Ten teams to be ranked or receiving votes.
  • Patberg's performance last week led her to a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll. For the week, the Columbus, Ind. Native averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 assist, 5.0 rebounds and shot over 50 percent from the floor in wins at Wake Forest and UCLA. Patberg went 51.9 percent from the floor, 80 percent from the 3-point line and 88 percent from the free throw line. She also held a 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, as she committed just one turnover against the Bruins. She set a new career-high 30 points at Wake Forest and nearly missed a triple double with 17 points, nine rebounds and eight assists at UCLA.

I'm sure I heard Greg Murray comment in the first half that we've attempted 54 more FT's than have our opponents.

If I remember correctly the old Knight teams in the late 80s/early 90s used to make more free throws than their opponents attempted.  That tidbit always hung with me for whatever reason.
