Post-game 

The Indiana women's soccer team scored two second half goals to erase a 1-0 deficit against Illinois and seal a 2-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
 
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 64th minute, Paige Webber scored a goal from well outside the box, sailing it over the goalkeeper's head to equalize the game at 1-1.
• Alone on the break, Melanie Forbes kicked a long, dribbling shot that snuck inside the left post to give IU the lead in the 79th minute.
• With Illinois threatening to tie, Jamie Gerstenberg held strong in goal for IU, diving on the ground to save a close Illinois shot in the bottom corner of the net in the 83rd minute.

NOTABLES
• The Hoosiers improve to 8-2-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in Big Ten play.
• Webber's goal was her fourth of the season, totaling her for nine points on the year.
• Forbes had her first goal of the season and it got her to four points on the year.
• Indiana owned a strong advantage over Illinois in shots for the game, 12-5.
• Indiana has won six of their last seven matches.
• This is Indiana's first win over Illinois since 2019.

Hoosiers Travel to Columbus, Host Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.  – The Indiana women's soccer team (8-2-1) will travel to Columbus for a Thursday night match against Ohio State at 7pm and host Michigan on Sunday at 1pm Bill Armstrong Stadium.
 
SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State is 7-4 on the season and tied with the Hoosiers for fifth in the conference standings. The Buckeyes are coming off a win against No. 12 Penn State on Sunday in State College. The Buckeyes have scored 21 goals on the season and given up 19. Ohio State has three players that have scored four or more goals.
 
SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
Michigan is 7-1-2 overall and 1-0-1 in Big Ten play. Most recently Michigan played to a 0-0 draw against Wisconsin. The Wolverines beat Illinois 2-1 in double overtime for their win in conference play.
 
WEBBER, GERSTENBERG EARN BIG TEN HONORS
Paige Webber earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Jamie Gerstenberg earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 14. Webber got a hat trick against Murray State and added an assist in the Hoosiers win at Kansas State. Gerstenberg has three straight shutouts and six shutouts on the season.
 
GERSTENBERG SHUTING OUT THE COMPETITION 
Indiana goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg is tied for the NCAA lead in shutouts with seven this season. Gerstenberg is two away from matching the Hoosiers program record for shutouts in a season. 
 
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION
Against Southeast Missouri State on Sunday the Hoosiers scored six goals, their most in a match since the 2011 season. All six goals came in the first half of the match, which set a program record for goals in a half. Six different players scored the six goals for the Hoosiers. The Hoosiers hold a 21-4 advantage in goal scoring over their opponents this season.

Regulation ends in a 1-1 tie and we move to OT.  Hoosiers fired 9 SOG but the Buckeye goalkeeper earned her scholarship stopping 8 of the 9.

Scoreless tie and we go to OT.  Reports from Indianapolis weather people of a storm system located west of Bloomington.  Hopefully it will bypass the city and not cause any weather delays.
