This match can't end quickly enough for Evansville.   An Avery Snead goal off an assist from Natasha Kim and it's 5-0.

Women move to 4-0-1 on the season and will host Lawrence U. on Sunday at 1:00.  Final score tonight 5-0 with the Hoosiers ripping off 34 shots; 18 on goal and 11 corners.  They limited Evansville to 4 total shots; 2 on goal and no corners.

Sunday afternoon at 1:00, women host Lawrence U. (2-1) its two wins coming over Lakeland U. and Elmhurst U. and an opening season loss to Concordia (Wisconsin).  Match televised on B1G+.

Senior day for IUWS and Piper Coffield puts the Hoosiers on the board first.

Took the women a little time to get warmed up but after Coffield's goal at 29' |, Layla Sirdah scored 7 min. later and 4 min. later Olivia Rush put one in the net so the women hold at 3-0 lead at halftime and surprising that it's not a bigger lead than that.  For the half, the women took 30 total shots; 9 on goal and 4 corners.  They held Lawrence completely in check not allowing a single shot nor any corners.

Now 5-0 as at 54' | Arianna Rose scored on an assist from Camille Hamm and at 58' |  Ellie Johannes scored assisted by Mary Kate Sullivan and Ava Akeel.  Still 30 min. left in the match.

7-0.  Goals coming a minute apart from Kennedy Neighbors and Layla Sirdah and still 18 minutes remaining.

2 more goals from Layla Sirdah less than 2 minutes apart giving her a total of 4 or what's called a 'haul'.   and her 3rd goal of the match was on her own corner kick.

And mercifully it ends with a final score of 9-0.  HUGE day for Layla Sirdah scoring 4 goals.  For the match the Hoosiers fired off 43 total shots with 17 on goal and had 8 corners.  Defense limited Lawrence to just 2 total shots, neither on goal and no corners.   Despite how bad Lawrence may be as a team that's still a pretty darn good defensive effort by the women.

20 min. left and Hoosiers still trail 2-0.  No offensive power at all.  Just 5 total shots and only 1 on goal.  Meanwhile, O$U has fired 14 shots with 8 on goal.  Don't seem us making up a 2-goal deficit in the remaining time.

3-0 final score as we were beaten both offensively and defensively.  We gave up a total of 19 shots with 12 of them on goal so we were on our heels defensively most of the night.  On the flip side, we only managed 7 total shots with just 3 on goal.    Hate to lose our conference opener at home but it is what it is.  Regroup for a Thursday evening home game against one of our new conference opponents UCLA (5-2-1)
