OT-Congrats to Columbus East Football, headed to State again!

East destroys Cathedral in the Semi-State game 42-13.  Cathedral has one of the best offenses in Indiana high school football, think they have 5 D1 players.  We will play winner of Kokomo/Michigan City.  Back to back State appearances!

Kokomo leading 21 - 14 midway in the 3rd.

Columbus East will face Kokomo who defeated Mi. City 21-14.

Pretty exciting to go back to State again.  Last year, East came out flat and never found their groove. If East plays like they did tonight, they're pretty much unstoppable.

My mother taught me if I can't say anything nice that I shouldn't say anything. ... When I was in grade school, my high school played in its first state title game. We lost to Columbus East and the late Blair Kiel. We were without our best running back and our best two-way lineman, and our quarterback played with a broken hand (not that I'm blaming injuries or anything -- LOL!). I was heartbroken!

Blair ended up being a pretty tragic story Really good family overall.
