  1. I especially like Sagarin because he hasn’t updated them since April of 2023 and we were #23 then, lol
  2. Yeah. This gets constantly misreported. He didn’t say it at his opening press conference, as many have reported. He said it at a press conference during the portal recruiting season in response to a question regarding what he could possibly tell recruits to convince them to come to Indiana given Indiana’s football history and Cig’s lack of experience at a Power 4 school. And it wasn’t the first time he had gotten that question. His answer after being asked a few times, “I win. Google me.”
  3. People who went to IU campuses in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, etc., and received IU degrees are certainly IU alumni.
  4. Yes. Started 87, finished 53.
  5. This is sort of what Cig has hinted at during some campus functions with students, etc. To basically quote, "this has my name on it."
  6. Just a note, since I've seen numerous comparisons here of this year's team to Michigan and Louisville last year. Last year, Michigan was #36 in pre-season KenPom, and Louisville was #64. So, however Pomeroy computes those, we're in the same area at #40 this year, and hopefully we can have a season similar to theirs last year. Also, we were #39 in pre-season KenPom last year.
  7. Last year’s IUFB Prediction League champion now begins the miraculous comeback to defend his title: Indiana 35, Oregon 30
  8. But why wasn't Illinois a big game? If Ohio State had beaten Illinois 63-10 when Illinois was ranked #8 in the country, folks would be talking about Ohio State being one of the best teams in college football history.
  9. Get back to me when we get credit for beating anybody. We could beat Virginia 63-10 next week and the narrative would be “Virginia’s a nobody.” Until that changes, I’m on the side of “just win games.”
  10. I would bet on Alberto being a starter next season, either here or somewhere else.
  11. It’s funny how nobody wanted what Woodson did, then he gets fired and people decide they want to do it the way Woodson did.
  12. DeBoer’s record as a head coach is 113-17. That’s pretty adept. He’s killed it at every level. I think Alabama is going to need a short adjustment period because I’d imagine DeBoer’s culture and way of doing things is a little different than they’ve been used to for the past couple decades. If Alabama decides they don’t want to be patient, he’ll have a long, long, long list of suitors.
